Having been work based in the Leytonstone/Ilford/Romford area for several years, I got a "feel" for the locals - even though I was a bit of an "outsider". In life, as in death, they have a certain sense of humour. As an instance, funeral processions regularly with the black horse drawn carriage and following funeral cars with emergency vehicle style flashing lights on top, in purple.

Yeh. They would have enjoyed that drive-in.

Played the course a couple whilst working there. Not a bad layout for such a small footprint. James Braid design I believe.
