So tomorrow i shall be venturing out on my own , whats the best time to beat slow 4 balls ?

early doors? lunchtime? or late afternoon?

For me it's always early doors. 07:00 tee off is usually pretty quite at my place - especially as Autumn approaches. I find it sets me up for the day too, I can get out and have a round whilst still getting home just as my wife & daughters are getting ready for the day!

Does take a little longer for me to get warmed up though; so find that I need a decent stretch before I head out.

6am, that way you beat the seniors who are still queueing at the butchers before they arrive for their daily knock ;)

I love playing in the evenings at weekends, don't get the chance to do it often, but the course is normally really quiet and the wildlife is out in force.

Not sure whether we are allowed out early doors at my place, the first designated tee off time is at 8 o'clock, all the green keepers are doing there thing before that. Evenings are best for me, and surprisingly (for me anyway) Sunday afternoons is normally pretty quiet

I popped in to the club on Fathers day, late afternoon just to knock a few on the range.

I realised it was really quiet so went and played 18 on my own.

Lovely weather. No-one within 2 or 3 holes in front or behind.

Perfect

I teed off at 0600 this morning, was a lovely morning!! Golf played, shopping done and breakfast sorted all before the Irish Open on Sky!!

My plan for the first day of The Open is to get a 5.30 start, play 9, full English at the club, and getting home for the BBC's coverage that starts at 9.00am .Feel free to join me :D
