New irons and first few sessions on the range.

The first time I took them out I was consistently hitting high draws with the 6, 7, 8 and 9 irons, but I could not click with the 4 or 5 iron.

May not apply but I think some ppl subconsciously swing a 4/5 iron differently to how they swing the 8/9 iron i.e its gotta go a long way so the subconscious says extra oomph needed & it kinda goes wrong
Despite the diff in length, when you have 4iron in your mitts just think you’re hitting a 8iron shot & see if that helps

Yes, that was me with fairways and hybrids. When I calmed the swing down, things improved greatly.

I found that swinging more vertically rather than wider helped greatly with contact with my 4 iron. My issue is in the downswing I am doing something wrong and sometimes I catch too much of the tee rather than the ball. I think it's just me not quite rotating enough as I go through the downswing and letting my arms do too much of the work.
