Best place to buy £1000+ of Titleist wedges, irons, woods? Multi-buy discount?

Hi all,

Finally decided that it was time to get myself some decent golf clubs and have decided that life is too short and gong to take the plunge and buy new wedges, irons and possibly driver/woods.

I have always admired Titleist and use 6 year+ old vokeys (no grooves :( now). Last week I trailed AP2s and Mizuno JPX irons and loved the AP2s, I will try the SM6 at a Titeist Full Line Fitting Day Tour when the stop in Glasgow on Wednesday. I am a single figure handicap although have always resisted the urge to over indulge on golf clubs....until now.

I have decided to book a 3 hour full bag fitting at the Titleist National Fitting Centre @ Cragielaw and will hopefully have a shopping list at the end of it. I am hopeful/convinced the Titleist clubs will outperform my current bag of old vokeys, nike CCI's and wood assortment.

If all goes well and I decide to buy £1000+ of Titleist equipment, does anyone have suggestions of the best place to do this?

Any places that offer good bulk/multi-buy discounts?

Or any places that specialise in supplying Titleist clubs.

I'm also aware that likely to be new iron launch this autumn so perhaps reduced AP2 716 prices on the horizon?

Thanks for any advice,

Best Regards

If you're getting fitted at Craigielaw and it goes well and are buying that many clubs why not just buy from them? I've bought stuff from their shop at discounted rates before so you might be able to wangle a discount. You're not going to easily get a comparable price from other retailers for a price-match if you have non-standard clubs/shafts after the fitting process anyway I don't think.

Hi mate I did exactly this last year.

Once I knew my specs I emailed pretty much every company (AG, Clubhouse etc ) and basically asked whats the best price you can do if I purchase all of this with you. some offered a dozen balls some offered multibuy discounts (£10 a wedge off) and some offered 10% off the whole order. companies realise this is a good amount of money so as per anything will try to get you to spend with them.

if you got fitted for that lot at the belfry they'd definitely give you a four ball on the Brabazon. the prices of their titleist gear is competitive too

Whilst I don't want to rain on your parade but a 3 hr full bag fitting is a lot of work. Give careful consideration to this. Whilst I am old and carrying to much extra timber, I have found a 90 minute fitting is bloody hard work. Each to their own but me personally would have to separate ones to get the best out of it. Enjoy the experience which ever you choose

I was just fitted by Titleist for all my new AP2's and then gave the spec to my Pro who did me a great deal, try your own Pro first as he won't be working to strict shop margins and any business with a mark up profit is good business for him/her.
