I want to buy a single 7 iron. Looking for a hard to hit blade to practice with and not sure the best place to look ? I don’t have a ebay account and had a look on my local gumtree but nothing showing. Any recommendations for places to look and also any particular blades I should try and find or avoid?

I seen a bagful in our pro shop for sale. Demos/club fit irons. Many unused @£20 each. Mizuno blades caught my eye.

I thing most golf club pro shops will have these for sale
Thanks I’ll stop in and have a look tomorrow at my local pro shop.
Have you looked at GolfClubs4Cash? They have a largish single iron section.
Thank you. Hadn’t seen that website before I’ll take a look.
How do you define a hard to fit blade?
Just looking for a blade with no forgiveness. I thought some blades are made now to be a little forgiving?

Any 30 plus year old blade will suit nicely then as they'll all be a single piece of steel, cast or forged.
Going back that far though I'd look for a 5 iron as that will have the same loft as a modern 7 iron.

If I can find an odd one I could send it to you for postage cost if you're interested?

Or here are a few examples on ebay:

Same offer as @Crow. You can have one of these for the cost of postage. (Hope that isn't breaking forum rules with regard to selling )

PM me if you are interested.

Ask your pro. They should have heads that were used for fitting.
Might currently have a screw on head, but it should be possible to glue a shaft into the head.

If you want something up to date, golfonline tend to sell separate irons or ask your local pro to order one.

Try thinning it on a cold winters morning ?

Get 999 ready on your phone :ROFLMAO: Although, if you can hit a 1 iron well, you can hit bloody anything! A pal of mine doesn't use a driver, so he carries a 1 iron purely for the length of it when taking drops due to one/two club lengths.

I got a mizuno mp 32 in a 6 iron. I was expecting it to be smaller and thinner, saying that I probably won’t be able to hit it very well for a while.

What made you change your mind from "hard to hit blade" to "same-as-any-other-modern-club blade"? ;););)

Sorry, I'm not having a go at you, merely winding up all the other Philistines, as usual.
