My local course is having difficulty with the weather. The bunkers are out of play beacause many are half full of water. I was recently playing in a competition and took my tee shot and saw a splash. I was sure there was no water on the course and when I walked my line I found a bunker full of water with waves emmiting where my ball had entered. Anyone else had this sort of bad luck
P.S. I didnt getmy ball back!

If they were out of play they should be marked as GUR in which case you would have been entitled to drop it outside of the bunker under no penalty. If not you needed to drop the ball inside the bunker or outside under penalty of one shot.

As it is not a defined hazard I think I'm right in thinking that you had to play your orginal ball or go back to where you last played from and treat it as a lost ball.

Yeah I got a free drop but had to take a new ball.. It may have been 'right under my nose' but I couldn't get it.
