Ive noticed that the system avatars work but not uploaded items, is there a way to link an image ie photobucket etc instead to remedy this? rather than put it into the signature.

No. The ABC picture. Journeyman, addict etc are assigned by Golf Monthly according to how many posts you have made.

I was playing of 6 just over a year ago and all but one of our competitions this year were qualifiers plus a couple away from the club, of course i went round in 73 or 74 on that day (first comp of the year) and didnt beat it all year at my home course, I did break it twice at other courses but never got the cards off the society I play in back so I couldnt get them into the club on time. As far as im aware 3 shots is the max you can get back over a year or so. This last year has definately been a dark one for my golf as every other year ive played has been better with the handicap descending in each one but this year.
Onwards and upwards, Im not a 9 handicapper out on the course, closer to 5-6 but there is always one hole somewhere on the course where my driving was letting me down bigtime so tactics have been rethought and over the winter i'll be using more irons off the tees. Last 2 saturdays have been great and sunday past also, three 38 pointers with 19 points out and 19 points home every time so there is some consistency coming back at least even if the scores are still a little high for my liking. Hope you have been having more joy.

Not had much fortune myself this year. I'm only a 5-day member at my club so limited for competition. Only played in 7 qualifying rounds. Went down 0.6 in one and gone up 0.1 in 5 of the others so feels like no progress. Scoring well for the last few months, though, so hoping to keep it up. Going to full member next year and aiming for 7 or below!

Its hard to get round our course if your driver isnt working, theres a fair amount of long doglegs so driving well is pretty much paramount, ive been to our short range area for chipping and bunker practice a bit recently and my driving is starting to come back too so now I cant wait for the new season already march is a long way away though!
Ive also been practicing my 7,8&9 iron pitching as ive noticed sometimes a sandwedge just isnt the best shot when theres plenty of room to roll out, funny how things still dawn on you a few years into the game!
