Here's a question for some of you. If somebody asked you what the latest Tefal cookware was like to use, would your response be "Why don't you spend your money on cooking lessons and learn to use the burnt out old pots and pans you already have?"
..............................................................

Here is the thing when using the pots the work is done by either gas or electricity where on the other hand giving a chopper a wedge and giving a good player a wedge well you see where this is going, yep if your are crap then it won't make a different but the better player wouldn't have a problem with it. So all the more reason to hit the practice area or get a few lessons it really is that simple .

Bob. You've been warned before about sensible posts. Leave him be. A fool and his money are easily parted.

Oh. I forgot to mention that my mate's nickname is "The Rotovator". His sand play definitely has to be seen to be believed ;)

Have we now resorted to handicap snobbery? He’s off 20 & uses one, I’m not & I use one, no one has told me to get lessons??
Or maybe, as per his original post where he say's he struggles. Advice to take a lesson is the most practical one.

Of course that doesn't mean he has to have one, but then raising differing analogies to try and counter said advise was at best foolish

He doesn't use one he is thinking about getting one and asking if it will help, if he is struggling with his existing club then I doubt a new club will make a massive difference, getting lessons will tho especially if he is playing off 20 and getting a few lessons he can work on more than just bunker play.

I had a lesson, still struggled, bought a 64 degree one, only didn't get out once recently - a deep bunker where the sand was totally frozen

It just a bit preachy that’s all. He’s not asked for advice on his game, just opinions on a club.
I struggle with the thought of it. it shouldn’t be anywhere near my bag, ‘cos I’m a baller 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but it’s a good bit of kit that will probably help the OP.

I (we) should get a bunker lesson but that’s not what he asked

Maybe we should take a leaf from homers book and say ‘get a lesson’ in response to everything 😱😱

The whole lesson club debate seems a bit off here.. in bunker lessons I’ve always been taught to open the face up (making my 58 degree like a 64 degree) and flop it out

However with a 64 sure out I’m under the impression you don’t need to do this and just play the shot

Isn’t that the idea of the club? For people who struggle with bunker shots

Yep. For me it means I don’t have to stand open, I don’t have to open the face and find the blade. I can stand square with a square club face and just smash the sand really hard. I’m such a finesse player 🤣🤣

Exactly the same for me - like father, like son 😁

Is the club any good for normal shots, from fairways or rough, or is it only for bunker shots?

I think people have read too much into the last paragraph. I wrote that stuff about our bunkers because usually when you ask about wedges, one of the first things people ask is 'what are the bunkers like at your course?' So in trying to head that off, I've wrongly given the impression I was looking for bunker help when really I just wanted to know if the Sure Out is any use when the bunkers are like that.
