Winter started today for us with 11 hole stableford. 6 FWs, 8 GIRs, 2 over gross & 29 points. Ill win some money but its not the same when its not a qualifer :(

I think you have to be careful about saying club golfers can't compare to pros, I was winning our captains day longest drive comp with 305 yards and lost out to a 327 yard drive from a 5 handicapper, flat summer fairway no wind. His is recorded on our club website for all to see.

Re: A natural golfer He swings like someone with poor flexibility there is no coil at all. If he starts having lessons all the natural talent might evaporate because at the moment he has something that repeats for him. When you start trying to do as your told the million and 1 swing thoughts...

All good golf swings start with a good grip & posture. Good posture is an unnatural & uncomfortable position so if you feel good over the ball its a safe bet your doing it wrong. A good pro will set you on the right track but there are a lot of bad ones out there.

I never feel like im living up to my potential on the way round then the last 5 holes i work out what i need to make my buffer and the last 3 rounds have been -1, level & -2 scraped it with an eagle on the last. Id be at least scratch if they made 5 hole golf courses.

I had a real tag watch and lost it on a night out smashed. Now i have a fake that serves the same purpose without the panicked search for it on a sunday morning.

AP2 has been downed a degree as well my PW is 47 degrees in the 712 range.

I'm more interested in how they swing than their handicap, seen plenty of shockers off low handicaps. Would I trade my swing for their score.....no chance.

I remember thinking earlier in the year when i put my cards in i could potentially start on single figures yet here i am at 15 but i began on 17. For me atleast anyway golf which affects my handicap is much more difficult and stressful.

At my place if your having to play a provisional you can pretty much guarantee you wont find it or want to, as darth said if i was playing well id search for the full 5 mins. Sometimes i see people go looking for them in the bushes 20 yards away after ripping their provisional down the middle...
