YouTubers.

More Poulter, this time with Eddie Hearn. Eddie is great value, well worth watching him on the Netflix documentary too.

I haven’t seen this but I bet it’s worth watching.

Eddie can sell snow to Eskimos…very charismatic but take what he says with a mountain of salt..

I've got that on my Watch Later list - saw Eddie on Golf Life a few times and he's a motormouth, can be very funny though. The banter between him and Ian must be decent.

Finally completed the Internet Invitational. My take:
  • Luke Kwon - bad attitude, after letting down his team he should have been more apologetic
  • Paige Spiranac - unbelievable that she didn't know you can't flatten grass, I think the tears were real, great golfer, fantastic boobs ;)
  • The Duke - weirdo, awful golfer, do not want to watch any of his videos
  • DoD King - F or MF in almost every sentence, I don't object to swearing, it's constantly repeating the same word that grinds my gears, teenagers inserting 'like' in every sentence is just as bad
  • Brad Dalke - best golfer overall, a deserved winner
  • The editors - fantastic work given the hundreds of hours of footage they must have had, dealt with Beef's death sensitively without being too maudlin
  • Chaz Bowker / Kyle Berkshire / Roger Steele - the opposite of The Duke, good golfers and would happily watch some more of their videos
  • Cliffhangers par 3 course - wow!
  • Dave Portnoy - fair play for putting up the money but I didn't take to him at all, too aggressive and confrontational for me
If they do another one next year, I would watch it again.

I agree with all of that except for the last point regarding Dave Portnoy.
I absolutely took to him because all his mischief was accompanied with an all knowing grin.

I'd also add that my gut feeling is that Molosi is a cheat and Bubbie is a pillar of integrity.

Just to add, another one is already being planned and Kai Trump has accepted an invitation.
Her surname aside, she's a very good golfer and would bring a lot of fun to the event,
Portnoy is also suggesting that the prize pot could be as much as $10M!!

Stunk out the LPGA didn’t she

Not convinced she stunk it up. She only plays off +0.5 at time of the event and that’s not low enough yes her first round was awful as she was probably like a rabbit in headlights. But her second round was very respectable and against the likes of YouTubers she could possibly hold her own.

Nick Voke t22 down under haway the NZ boys

I have no idea what any of this means.

Nick Voke t22 down under.
This means that the YouTuber, Nick Voke, is currently in a share of 22nd position in the BMW Australian PGA Championship.

haway the NZ boys
This is a form of encouragement, originating from NE England, to the NZ boys. The NZ boys are a small group of YouTubers based in New Zealand, Nick 'Vokey' Voke is a regular on their videos.

You're welcome. ;)

Agreed,I thought Dave was great viewing, especially how much stick he was giving Frankie
When the camera man picked up the ball out of the stream, and then drove his buggy through the fence was YouTube gold 😆

As much as the Internet Invitational was great viewing, this one is just hilarious.
Certainly not to everyone's taste, but certainly to mine!
It has the NZ crew, who are my favourites, and the Bryan Bros.

Watched some bloke with a YouTube channel hacking around a course trying to get round in 14 over…he didn’t manage it and I’m surprised he got anywhere near tbh (16 over I think in the end). It was less than very dull…he hacked it round and I skipped through it quickly…anyway.

Point is…he really irritated some members who felt he was holding them up with all his faffing around with his camera and tripod - into the bargain they were playing a comp. He claimed he was being held up himself by a group in front, and that seemed to be the case, but he showed zero inclination to just left them through - and was towards the end quite belligerent in his attitude that as the pro shop had said it was ok and he’d paid his twilight round green fee, then he was in his rights…blah, blah blah. The members were really frustrated and irritated and he told them he’d keep filming their rants and was just going to ignore them…very well…😳

I think I’d have been like the members and I’d certainly have had serious questions for the pro shop.

Had me thinking what my club’s attitude should be towards YouTubers wanting to shoot a video of their round. Maybe if one of the top guys or gals wanted to, or do one with a pro, I might be OK at quieter times of the week. Publicity and all that. But the world of YouTuber golf seems to be awash with every Tom, Dick and Harriet producing videos of their rounds, with or without chums, regardless of their ability or indeed sometimes without that much knowledge of the rules or of golf etiquette.

Hmmm 🤔

I am sure they play either very early or late.

Rick used to post 9 holes, I think he played last 9s early? Not watched him for a while. Now that he is big he probably can negotiate a good amount of time on a lot of courses.

Dan Hendrickson used to comment about light and how the camera makes it look much brighter than it really is and it’s dark for them. I think they played late and as long as light allowed.

I think either Rick or Pete had addresses that in an FAQ as well.
