Your longest driver ever

Welcome to the forum MrMr, however, I hope you don't mind if I don't respond to your question, it's nothing personal, I just know how this thread will end up.

'Slag off' bit OTT their mate.
.
Accepted .. wrong choice of words by me there so apologies for that , but only for using the wrong term

, if you received a couple of the replys he did to your first posts you'd kinda think , there's a shower of (smiffy word) on here i wont bother coming back

p.s the Car driving answers were funny

Longest I would say is about 380 yards but the conditions were good at the the time with a sloping fairway and hitting from a elevated tee helped it along, average yardage 285.

Ones driver when one was at school, was 6'8" tall. One can't remember his name, Mumsy told me not to talk to the staff.

OP hope you didn't take any of the light hearted comments the wrong way,it's just banter:thup:
PS welcome to the Forum.

^^^ What he said especially the bit in bold...

If we're talking longest drives Hameln in Germany to Lydd on the Kent coast not to bad a journey normally but when its in an M3 rig and your stuck in traffic for 7 hours it becomes mind numbinlgy long and dull! In the end it took just shy of 15hours!

Woking to Lake Garda - about 22 hours non stop (three taking turns) towing a 24 foot racing yacht. The Milan ring road in rush hour was probably my scariest ever time behind the wheel.

PS You get some VERY strange looks driving through alpine ski resorts with a yacht on the back!

Sorry i mis understood the question. I once was a driving partner of a road trip from Newbury to Carvoeiro and back in a horse box. was moving furniture for my FIL to his villa. 2491KM each way, so just under 5000KM! do i win? took us just over 24 hours each way.

PAH!!!! bunch of wimps!

Greenock to Southampton......14 hours due to a major crash on the M6.

When I was in the army I shared a room with a Royal Corps of Transport driver. He was 6'5" tall and had to have his army bed especially made for him. When he layed down to sleep I think he was the longest driver we had.

Do I win a prize.....

Welcome to the madhouse/forum by the way.

My longest ever is about 300 yards but taking into consideration that the fairways were hard, slightly elevated tee, it was a tail wind and I hit a surprisingly straight shot. I wouldn't trust a carry of anything in excess of 200 yards though.
