Got home from work today to find my Golf Club had sent out the Membership/Subscription Renewals.

Being only 25, I had been paying 'Colt' Membership at my club since I turned 18 (which last year was £223). I'm still not classed as an 'Adult' at my club (I think thats once you turn 30, but Im not too sure) and my Renewal is £520 including VAT. I then have a Golf Union Levy of £16.25 and a Bar Loyalty Scheme of £25 on top of that.

Wondering if anyone else has had their renewals through and if so, how much?!

reading these threads makes me cry...

You get the southern's/South east (£1000 for a goat track, up to £3k for something exclusive)
The others (£500 basic, £1000-£1500 for an exaclisive)
the Scotts (£200 for a basic - £500-750 for a top100 course)

im now off to committ suicide.:temper:

I totally agree with you, I'm down in the South West here and FULL ADULT membership at my place is nearing £650/£700. It's not a Goats Track or a Top100, it sits firmly in the middle of the scale.

dropped to £400 which sounds cheap but you do get what you pay for, have renewed for this year but then I am going elsewhere, dont care if its 3 times as much, just want a new challenge and decent practice facilities (we just have 1 net and a putting green)

To quote one of Harry Enfields characters " I don't think you wanted to do that"

Oddsocks This is just for you!!:)

My Nairn Membership is about £500 i thinks its 31 in the 100 UK courses list from last years mag

My mate is at Royal Dornoch and that is about the same...

Although golf up here is a lot less expensive than down South, we still aren't quite as low as that . In Edinburgh and Glasgow, fees can be almost as bad as some of those down South. I'd saty average fees are in the £600-£900 range. Small clubs that get a lot of visitor traffic can be ridiculously low sometimes as can some of the big names, if you're a local ;)

On the whole, I'll take my £600 any day against those down South though ;)

Ours are due out later this month I think. I would guesstimate a £50-75 increase. I thought there was some legislation that when through that made it illegal now to offer memberships based on age.

I can help you there Homer, it's gone up £50 but they've scrapped the £50 bar levy so technically the same.

Old club £1300, new club £1100 :whoo:

Just paid today pro-rata.... only cost £230 until May, awesome as it gives me a couple of months to settle in without chipping out the big $'s

£450 for me this year down £30 from last year:whoo:,

Muni course in NW,just been taken over and monthly payments also through the yr at £37.50........
