Your Course

Bookings can be made from tomorrow and the course will be open from Friday. Two of our three 9’s open at a time to allow the greenkeepers to work on the other 9. Sticking to 2 balls only and the usual health and safety rules are being applied. Direct debits has been frozen and will be started again from start of June so we get the rest of the month free which is a nice touch.

Roll on Saturday, Tee of at 10:30

Our course Rules came out yesterday
Basically as England golf guidelines

Ten minute intervals, two balls only, both players must be named, no booking the second slot as anonymous so you can only go out as a single if nobody books the second slot. Full 18 holes on the main course and 9 only on the 9 hole course. Juniors must play with an adult.

Only one booking every 3 days in advance, spare slots on the day can be booked on the day but only by phoning the office

Only one player allowed in the locker room at any time and all clubs etc to be taken home.

Driving range and practice facilities closed until there is guidance from England golf, except for putting green which can only be used immediately prior to your tee slot.

for the first time in history we are having a telephone booking system, 2balls only, no guest or visitors, 9 holes, change in car park, and leave as soon as the 9 holes are finished.

each telephone booking will be uploaded onto a google calendar so available times are shown

^^^^^^^ this pretty much for me too

It's a little chaotic, which is understandable, but we have one volunteer taking the bookings and entering them to a google calendar, the only way to book is by getting connected to the volunteer, so no voice message bookings.

Only booking for the following day,

In the first 40 minutes we have had 33 tee time bookings, 2balls at 10 minutes intervals.

We are fully open tomorrow. You can play nine holes teeing off the 10th early or full 18 teeing off the first in two balls. Booking on line. Can play twice during the week and once at the weekend. Booking up to seven days in advance.

I have three games booked, as have a feeling we might close again in a few weeks time.

Pleasantly surprised that we can play full 18 hole rounds tomorrow, starting from 7am, at 8 minute intervals.
If social distancing is properly observed, this is a very sensible decision by our committee.

Not good.
It's a council-run public course, I'm not sure how that would affect their motivations, but this is all they wrote anyway:

"Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, Haste Hill and Uxbridge Public Golf Course remain closed until further notice.
Please review our website and social media for further updates."

There were no further updates.
