Year roundup - How many holes in 1 have you witnessed this year?

In the same spirit as the eagles counting thread:- How many holes in one have you witnessed this season?

I've seen two, one at the Scottish Open qualifying and one by my FC three weeks ago. Those are the first two I've ever seen in the flesh. My FC was less excited than we were as it was his 5th - some folks are just greedy!

My mum hit one on our practice course. Only a very short par 3, 75 yards or so, but we were still both very delighted to see it go into the hole.

How unfortunate. Shouldn't it be the other way round? Shouldn't you get at least free drinks out of the fact that someone else shoots a hole in one?

One of my own. One of my pp. Same course, different holes. Never saw any of them drop as the bottom of the flag was hidden!

They've been head at my course and at an away day, but never witnessed them.

None but I was stood next to a green when someone aced it, but I had my back to the green.

Witnessed one, a precision thin that hit the pin at speed fantastic & dropped; the guy that got it turned his back on it as he hit it & shouted "Oh for duck's ache" or something similar. We'd called up the group and just stood there laughing & applauding, they thought we were taking the proverbial, questioning if it was close, couldn't believe it when we said it was in. All smiles over the beer later though! :cheers:

One, in our Club Championship. Not mine. FC started the morning round back nine 8,1,6, went on to win the Handicap prize.

It was his first, at 71 years of age. Was great to see.

I've seen a couple too, on the 18th at Sandiway Golf Club from a senior who missed it himself. The other was mine on the 9th at MacDonald Cardrona Hotel near Peebles on a free round I got from my Golf Insurance :cheers:
