I currently have my own little workout:

100 sit ups
50 press ups
3 mile jog
small weight 70 reps
medium weight 50 reps
large weight 30 reps

I am struggling to sort out a diet?

Any Ideas?

For me the workout is my job, and due to the active lifestyle I have to eat quite a lot.
I dont think a set diet is a good idea unless you are overweight, I eat a high fibre breakfast, a lot of Carbs (bread, Pasta etc.) while at work along with lots of fruit, and other than that anything goes as long as it's balanced, just avoid anything that is obviously bad for you.
I have a fast metabolism so I dont put on weight, I probably eat 4500-5000 calories a day, im 6ft 2 and weigh 12st 8oz, and have a 30 waist.
All im saying is a good diet doesn't mean eating less.

I'm back at the gym so have cut out the fry ups and general crap ,i tend now to eat alot of tuna, chicken bagels during the day with rocket salad and tomatoes ,for my main meal pasta with chicken , beef and veg, remember eat fruit more than chocolate . Am now back on the protien shakes which i feel benefit me when working out.
Read either Mens Fitness or Mens Health they give plenty of info for exercise and dietry advice and recipes for meals.
Just remember your a young lad who's still growing i'm 40 so be carefull when your exercising to build up slowly and don't try and gun it right away

Mono,
I'm guessing the question was asked because the reps you are doing on the weights are way too high to build muscle. If you are building muscle you should be 3 sets of 4-8 reps to failure. Toning you would be 10-15 reps and stamina/general aerobic fitness you would be repping 20+.

You'd have to watch the heavy weights a bit with your age too.

mono....could you join a rowing club? Seriously, rowers make very powerful golfers......

Do not think DIET think Healthy Eating, do lots of stretching.

At your age you do not want to be lifting heavy weights you can do permanente damage.

Mono I agree with the rowing concept, though I'd do it down the gym. Building a lot of muscle mass at your age would be detrimental. Lose the weights for now and do your workout on a rowing machine and using your body as resistance.

Rowing machines are great at working the large muscle groups, which translates to a very powerful connected swing and a very strong well toned physique. Get a fit ball to help with your workout and vary the sit ups and press ups, personally I'd recommend crunches over sit ups.

Finally, if you can get one in the house I'd recommend a chin up bar and do wide arm chin ups. You'll probably struggle with it at first but over time you will build a very strong, toned powerful physique. You can then add the free weights on when you are older and by older I'd suggest 21 to make sure you've fully stopped growing.

Hope this helps and happy training.

Thanks Tiger I might join the gym.

Just be careful Mono with regards to your weight training. When i was around 15 i started lifting weights at a lunchtime in the school gym. The problem however came that we wasnt supervised and henced lifted what we wanted. I built muscle far to quickly and i am now left with stretch marks at the top of my arms. Thankfully they are now only evident when i have a suntan but up until i was in my early 20`s they were quite noticable. Get some expert advice at a gym with regards to lifting weights is my advice.

On a personal note today is my first day of trying to kick smoking and its killing me already!

Its important to realise there are several types of muscle big isn't always fast, everyone sees tigers muscles but look at the distance some of the women get and you see speed is the key.
