I have been called into the office today with my colleague to explain why it took 5 hrs for some hire equipment to arrive in order for us to carry out a job. It wasn't our fault it was a mix up by the hire company. They constantly told us it was on it's way, similar to a taxi firm "oh yeah mate it's just around the corner" you know the kind of thing. To have this as a formal interrogation/investigation was bad enough but what made the day more sinister is the events after the interview. I rang the manager who interviewed us to ask him if I could have a photocopy of my answers, he said he didn't have a problem with that but what he did have a problem with was the large scratch on his car door that wasn't there when he arrived. I instantly told him I knew nothing about it nor did my colleague. In fact I said I am a fifty year old man and I would never consider scratching anyones car. His reply was I'm a fifty year old man and I'd like to know how that scratch got there. Effing cheek. The car park outside our office is cctv recorded and we know we did nothing and the evidence will be there to support this. Where do I stand after this indirect accusation, what would you do?
