I keep seeing people on here posting about winter practice.

What kind of things do you all practice in the winter and is it all range based?

I want to get some sort of idea of ways to practice as my game didn't improve as much as I'd liked this summer

I would work out where needs work first. If like me it's pretty much everything! Either consider a bunch of lessons with proper practice time between, or just work out for yourself what you need to do.

Say you want all over improvement, no lessons but u can do say 3 range sessions a week, split them into woods, irons and wedge sessions, try and find somewhere for putting practice, a dedicated short game area away from matts would be good too..

I suppose your regime depends on how much time you have, what facilities you have around...

Finding time for practice is my biggest problem due to work commitments. I need to practice all areas I suppose? I think it'll be lessons and get my instructor to come up with a practice plan?

Hello from sweden,,,in sweden during winter its often snow and cold...so its indoors activitets that we have to practice. We go to dynamic movement training and gymnastic exercise twice a week....for golf training i have bought a swing jacket, i shall test it during this winter in an indoor golf training building,,,its indoor range .....

For me this season will be all about short game..... Our practice area is about 160 mtrs long so trying to practice hitting a driver there is off the menu....I want a razor sharp short game because its inevitable that ill miss some greens and i want to be confident that when i miss them ill at least save par......

The course is usually sopping and its always lift clean and place during the winter months so i dont get too competitive with myself and dont get too harsh with myself when things im trying dont come off...... Iv just booked 4 more lessons for this winter and ill take 1 per month which gives me a month between each to work on what i need to do.....

For me next season will be all about trying to drop another couple of shots and to also get on our Jimmy Bruen Cup team..... So ill need a better game next year for that than i had this year......
So for me it will be wedges and putting..... My work from 100 mtrs and in and also work with chipping around the greens....

Hopefully i wont have a lot of work to do on my swing when my Pro sees me..... It'll be a long winter if i have....

I speak to my pro about what he thinks need working on and devising a plan. Last year it was the club path but this year we don't want to change too much, maybe a bit more on the mental side and shed loads on the short game

I'm going to be working on my all round fitness and try and build some solid core muscles and better flexibility

I'm currently happy with my swing, so working on short game and putting
