I've never won a golf comp but come third a few times. But it has now been confirmed that my team won last week's Stroganoff. For those that missed my earlier post the format is teams of four with two scores counting for the first six holes, three scores from the next six and then all four scores from the last six. Despite struggling down the back straight we romped home with 123 points, we had a very good middle section!

So while it was a team event it's nice to finally have a win under my belt.

Won our stableford today playing out of my skin in a gale. A very nice feeling.

Never played that format, sounds pretty good though.

Never heard of it before let alone played it but a win is a win. I always think even if your partner has done 95% of the work as HTL did when we won the Jubilee Cup at my place last year you were still there on the odd occasion you were needed and that is all you can ask of a team event

Well done Tiger. A win is always real confidence builder and motivator... some proof that the practice is worthwhile.

Managed a minor victory myself yesterday.... won our Saturday swindle. 40 points, clinched on countback by my 23 point back 9! Been a while, so a win's a win.
