Wind Assisted

300 yd carry over a downhill mound- didnt bother with measurement as it's a false positive- can't carry that hill on normal days. Only parred the hole as normal so what's the point

None stand out with the wind helping but hit probably the best drive of my life INTO the wind last weekend.

Was last Sunday, the final day of the BMW at Wentworth, and we were just around the corner on the Old at Sunningdale. The wind was strong that day and it was into us from the left on the par 4 18th. We were playing from the tips and the hole is 423 yards uphill all the way. I absolutely bombed my drive (was a bit lower than my normal flight) and I left myself 113 to the pin. Measured the drive at 305 yds (pin was 5yds short of the middle of green).

Staright after that I had one of the most surreal moments of my life as because the proshop was closed I ventured into the clubhouse to see if I could find a scorecard (I keep a scorecard/stats after every round and didn't have one...) Who ended up getting me one out of the boot of his Ferrari after he couldn't help me find one in the clubhouse? Hugh Grant! Standing behind him while he riffled around his bag looking for it was one of the strangest moments of my life. Very nice bloke though.

I have had a few crackers, my driver has been off a little the last month but I remembered how to use it again on saturday and just about made it to the water in front of our SI 1. Down hill from about 250Y and wind with I guess it would have been 350Y ish.

The nice thing is I got it a good way up 14 too, uphill wind in 463 yards or something stupid. Did not make the green in regulation I may add.
