See WHS Rule 3.2Ok fine, what happens to the scores of players who, say have, 2 or 5 or 9 holes left to play when the abandonment comes, do they have any scores entered in their record?

ThanksSee WHS Rule 3.2
Nothing particularly exceptional then.We had a chap off a 44 handicap win today with a nett 66 in a Medal round gross 110
A good example that WHS is working well, and even lifting the 28 hc ceiling before that can work too. Maybe things are settling down now after a few transitional years. We had a chap off a 44 handicap win today with a nett 66 in a Medal round gross 110
Not exceptional but what was the course rating and what were his best 8 scores? We had a chap off a 44 handicap win today with a nett 66 in a Medal round gross 110

Its the score differential rather than stableford that determines the 8 best. Nevertheless, for those doubting WHS, the general picture from this example is that even for hcs in the forties, the system is working.stablefored scores
There is something not right there. This player has 3 of 8 counting scores that are around 5 over handicap, 5 of 8 counting scores that are around 10 over handicap, and the rest of their most recent 20 must be worse than that. I assume GA operates the hard cap (I don't have the manual to hand), so unless they have fewer than 20 scores, this player has hit it.Best 8 scores

That really doesn't help. What are his best differentials or gross scores on that course? How much better was 110 than he had done previously?stablefored scores
Why would cards be submitted for a match?I really don’t understand how/ when PCC kicks in.
Saturday - howling rain, worst conditions of the year so far. Only a few players close to handicap and 1 below. (But no one to CR which is lower than par) PCC 3.
Sunday - lovely sun, playing in a polo shirt weather. Greens rolling beautifully and no wind. No formal comp on the day but 17-24 handicap league match was played so I assume cards submitted? PCC 3.
Not a clue

I like how that's what you pick up on
Because they want to? I don't know or care to be honest, just know people at my club have played "matches" but as if its stroke play and they hole out for the full 18 - then they submit it.
Hmm, I definitely remember playing match and strokeplay in a single round got you dq'd from both...
The feeling I get is England golf want you to enter strokeplay numbers everytime you tee it up, I wonder if that rule is now being overlooked....
