Looking some advice on Clubv1 system

We haven't switched over yet to clubv1 but I am wondering how we can match what our current system Handicap Master does -

1. We run a competition across Fri, Sat and Sun - a player enters the comp on just one of those days, then on Monday we run the results and get our winners.
It seems Clubv1 can't cover this and we need to set up as 3 events and then aggregate and ensure no players have enter more than 1 day.

2. In Clubv1 we have to put in the handicaps that we want our 4 divisions to incorporate instead of current Handicap Master that will take the final amount of players and divide into the divisions you have set up. HM set up gives all players the same % of chance of winning whereas CV1 could really have a division top heavy depending on the handicaps of players that enter.

thanks

As I recall V1 used to require separate Comps to then be aggregated but we now frequently have 2 day Comps that no longer require this & am sure this could easily be extended to 3. Players are prevented from having multiple entries.
However you only get a 'Leaderboard' showing for the 1st day.
There is no option for equal 'Auto' division split. You set them then choose if using HI, CH or CH as criteria.

We run a 3 day bogey comp at Easter. We are playing Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday this year because of the new WHS system starting on April 1st. We also have three day comps on the May and August bank holidays. In ALL of these we play two out of three days (of our choice) and the system copes without a problem

Is that with V1?

Yes, ClubV1 is functionally deficient in these areas.
Be assured, it is not the last time you will be frustrated with it. (We are migrating to IG in a couple of weeks.)

You have 2 options for the competition:

1. as you have said, setup 3 separate competitions, and then check for (and remove) duplicate entries before running an "aggregate print" to generate the overall results. Any duplicates would then need to be re-entered manually for handicapping.
2. run a single competition, and change the date of the competition in ClubV1 each day to ensure scores are sent to WHS with the correct date. This option is not recommended as it is prone to error and would create lots of work if the date is not changed or set inaccurately.

There is no option for dynamic divisions in ClubV1, so you have to specify them manually.

Foreign handicaps……different to the rest I think now!!
That's how it works in Scotland too, as Wales & England have same software pretty sure they'll be the same? VMS doesn't seem very customisable by country so doubt it'll be different
