Which balls do you use? Top end £50 a dozen ones, midrange balls from decent manufacturers, lake balls from ebay......etc

Mid range balls in the winter , usually srixon then look for a good deal on premium balls for the summer. Wouid Never use lake and certainly not refurbished ones.

In the winter it's mid range stuff like Chromesofts, Tour Response and the like
Other times it's ProVs or TP5s of either standard or X version
If I find a Snell/Vice etc and it's the premium version then that'll go in the bag.
#1 ball for me most of the time is the Mizuno RB Tour...virtually the same as a ProV1 but I got them for 30 quid a dozen....

I used to use premium balls bought new like ProV1 etc but since the changes to WHS where as a low 'capper I now have no chance of winning anything it's not worth it so I've switched to lake balls from ebay 😎 :ROFLMAO:

I normally buy a load of Titleist Tour Speed on eBay, which I like.
At the beginning of Winter I bought 6 dozen Ram Laser Plus balls for £45 (budget and DTC) thinking that they'll be a laugh for winter golf (soft, cheap, disposable). 3 months and 30 rounds in and I've only managed to lose about half a dozen. I'm actually enjoying them. Performance difference at my skill level is negligible but they do scuff up quite badly on the cart paths.

I've settled on Titleist TruFeel. I love putting with that ball. And for everything else it feels good. I did get a box of Titleist TourSpeed for Xmas. Will be using those on scoring rounds in the summer. Other ball I like is the Wilson Triad. Really good performance and price. But having grown up on Titleist balls, I feel confident when I tee that brand up.

There are a few things that really get up my nose. Losing my tee peg.....don't know why. Don't care if I break them, but losing them really irks me. Paying £45+ for a box of balls. Not going to happen. I'm off 6.5 and I can't really tell any difference between the Q Stars I'm using and a ProV. Seeing people who are 15 handicap and up buying nothing but ProV.....why? Hey, it's their money though.

Mid range / premium lake balls. Have done for years, been very happy with them. My game isn't good enough or consistent enough to warrant paying full box price on new balls.

I've currently got a mix of Taylormade, Wilson and Titleist Trufeel. It means I can avoid whatever my pp are using, always handy.

Depending on weather and course conditions

Titleist Pro V1
Callaway Chromesoft

Callaway Supersoft
Srixon Softfeel

Taylormade RBZ Speed
Owt else I have found

I use Titleist AVX, as I need all the reduced spin and launch with the driver.
Pro is tempted to try me with Left Dash though. Could be interesting.
I do try to get them on sale, previous year's model, etc, rather than pay full price.

Last year I was using the Bridgestone RX, which technically is a premium ball, but mid-range in terms of price. This year I'll be using Vice Pro Air though. So I've voted for three different options in the poll.

Lower end of midrange, not really precious about make. I just want a soft(er) ball then the budget stuff but will play srixon, TM, cally, wilson etc & new balls, not interested in stuff that's been in a lake for months

In the same way I can't get the best out of spending 500 on a driver (so I don't) I can't get the best out of a 50 quid box of balls, so I don't

Chrome Tour....was a big fan of the Chrome Soft but on a whim gave the Tour a go...since doing so I feel I have gained a few yards off the tee (even in winter I am putting the ball in places not seen before - in a good way, that is!!!) and seemingly have gained a bit in accuracy as well.

However i will be trying the new Mizuno Pro X when it hits the shelves in a couple of weeks time.

I always play 3 or more piece urethane (or similar cover) balls. Not been that bothered about which make for a few years now although in summer I tend to stick with one make and model.

In winter I tend to use up all the 3 piece balls I have found and accumulated.
