I lost a silly bet the other night at a party and means I have to play a round (likely a comp) using srixon distance balls instead of my preferred mid-range soft

What's gonna happen to my game & scoring ?...

(if I'd won the bet the other fella would've needed to drop from his preferred orange castle to pink castle for the round)
Those are the kind of bets I wouldn't mind making. Just a good laugh. Unless you spin the crap out of a ball, can't see much difference going to the cheaper ball.

I use the mygolfspy ball test data to look at the numbers.
When you have 2 balls within 500rpm of each other and total distance differences under 5 yards .. I am looking at the price to make a decision and consistency.

Severe anecdote warning!

2010.
I had reached the 36-hole final of our scratch knockout. It was October and I had just turned 50 years of age.
Other chap was in his early 20s and lower handicap.
In the afternoon I was one-up as we walked off the 11th green when it started to rain good and proper.
On the 12th tee I said, "I'm changing my ball."
I showed him my ball in my hand and made sure that he saw it was a Srixon Distance.
I did the next 4 holes in 1-under and he was 2-over. I won 4&3.

That was the 3rd and last (so far ;)) time I won that comp.

A couple of YT reviews showed virtually no difference in spin, distance, launch, height etc etc and the compression is nigh on the same as well.
Worth a punt a d with a new one about to hit the shelves the old one may be even cheaper..
Mizuno have brought out 2 new balls to replace RB .https://youtu.be/nCSBrcwNwuI?si=irpvovSblXf49Ai_
