Just done a bit of an upgrade (or rejig) of my golf storage in the house

used to keep everything in the porch (have a large porch) however first born arrived in June and I got the feeling that the porch wont be available forever.....

so I had a bit of fun in the garage

locker for the clubs which fit perfectly

Hats live in the top part of locker

shoes on top part of wardrobe, with the trolley battery

Trolley itself lives in the wardrobe

then the old balls, winter wheels and various junk live in the draws

not bad really.. all the storage bar the locker were free (old storage from the house) the locker was £35 second hand off ebay

Bargain.

Found out (after living here 3 years) that I can open my garage door from the inside so can just load the car direct from the inside of the garage

where does everyone else keep their golf stuff?

This was asked a couple of weeks ago, but I'll let you off as you wanted to show off your fine handiwork. ;)

All my stuff is in the conservatory/back room. I used to put in the shed and at the bottom of the garden, but that was before I was playing every single weekend and I got bored of walking there and back. Plus in winter there was a good chance of everything getting damp.

That's why I plumped for the garage for the ability to go in via the garden or the side of the house (pulling the car down the shared drive)

Can start going in via the garage lol

Mine live in the car 24/7 unless im playing.

Few people told me that can ruin the grips, specially in the hot weather (cars get melting) and the solvent on the grips can break down

Thanks for posting those pics, it has really inspired me to sort out my garage

And if someone nicks your car you have the added pain of losing your clubs as well!

I believe that they wouldnt be covered by any insurance either.. car insurance doesnt normally cover items that high

house insurance is for the house

and golf insurance doesnt cover car parks unless its a golf venue

and DaveR its a long process lol... my builder mate should be finally taking my old patio slabs from the garage on friday then ill have my garage back lol

This is my golf balls and other odds storage

Spare bags and clubs live in spare bedroom, main kits stays in the locker at the club.

My golf gear also (99% of the time) lives in my boot. It is listed separately under my home insurance and covered home and away and in the boot off the car. Any/most policies should give you the option to do that.

a real important piece of club storage that often times gets overlooked is temperature

storing in any place that puts the gear in pretty extreme temps (hot or cold) means the grips are goin to deteriorate a whole bunch quicker so get real hard brittle & crack - bit also the adhesive that secures the shaft to the clubheads deteriorates pretty badly also

ideal is to store at a reasonable room temp that we live or work in

In Scotland we experience dramatic temperature changes by the hour.:(

Nothing comes home, I have a locker with a pair of trousers and a shirt in case I suddenly want to drop on the club for a few holes, I have a garage at the club that I wheel my clubs & trolley into and plug in my battery & SkyCaddie, my carry bag is in there also with spare clubs and training aids along with my shag bag, my shoes (4 pairs) are also in my locker or shoe holder under the locker room bench seat oposite my locker.

When travelling anywhere to play I simply go to the club slightly earlier and collect everything enroute.

Works for me.
