What's your favourite golf shirt?

Awesome thread.

My life is more complete now that I know what colour shirt a load of middle aged blokes, most of whom I have never met, wear to play golf in.

Looking forward to the next instalments:

What is your trouser size?
Which colour tee do you prefer?
Is a hat better than a sun visor?
Do you match the colour of your glove to the colour of your trousers or is it best to match to your favourite shirt?

Riveting.

Almost as riveting as you're face to face promises...........how are they getting on by the way?

Not that well. I'm in the north west on the 11th June though so if you want to arrange a forum mini-meet then I'd be happy to get together? I will have my clubs with me too.

This is a bit of a tangent, and nothing to do with Snelly's promises, but everyone who had a favourite on this thread: how much would you pay for that favourite?

I came across a GG shirt on ebay a couple of nights ago still at the opening bid, so I put in a small bid, got outbid the next day, and thought nothing more of it. But I've just had the email to say that the auction closed and it went for £53!!!! With postage that's £57 for a (rather bland) polo shirt.

Used??

You didn't need to put the "eBay" bit in there...seriously, £57 for a polo shirt....?

I got given a galvin green polo a few years ago when i took part in some consumer testing for AN Other magazine, it was an XL, I wore it once and it looked like a tent. so i sold it used on ebay for £60!! madness. would rather buy a £20 polo and have a lesson!

Sadly not many make cotton ones. I've found one or two IJP but that's about it.

Polyester shirts are fine as long as you're not self conscious about being overweight as it seems to cling to every lump, bump & roll.

'have a lesson. have a lesson' !! you sound like Homer's Parrot:D

Galvin Green have decent styling but they bobble really quickly. The best polo I have is a Hilfiger golf shirt, nice and hard wearing !!
