If you go to the range and everything is perfect, you basically hit every club in the bag like a touring pro... what do you do?

a) Go home?

b) Carry on hitting until you totally lose it and start shanking?

c) Something else??

Wake up :)

Ideally go from the range to the course and play at least nine holes. As that initial feeling only occurs for me about once a season (and only for half a bucket of balls) I'm probably not qualified to describe the best course of action

A) Go home thinking you have got somewhere, only to play worse than you you did the first time you played golf when next out on the course!

Go home, give yourself one of your famous "Muddy waters".
Than put your feet up, crack open a few tinnys and dream of how you will transfer it all on to the course. :D

Enjoy the moment and then go home, cos you just know that whatever you do it aint gonna be like that next time out on the course. Same as when you`ve just hit a duffer of the tee, you get a provisional out and crack one right down the middle 260-280yds.

:D :D ;)

A mixture of a) and b) for me. I had a great range session yesterday, I hit every ball sweetly and shaped/flighted as intended, until I got to about 95 out of 100 balls and started getting wayward and catching them a bit fat. I think it's just a case of the arms getting a bit tired.

But there is always tomorrow :)

Ha! Some funny answers... an orange juice and coke sounds great Chris!

I was just wondering what happens when you play off +2 or +3, let's face it, everything you hit will be perfect... so what do you work on to get to +4? Do you just stick your MP3 player on and hit balls for fun?

Personally I walk up and down the range pausing to stand behind the proles while they take their shots, before tutting, shaking my head, and wandering on to the next one.

:p
