Currently off 4.5.

I would say ok golfer I guess. Capable of shooting under par but also capable of shooting 80+. But generally I play for fun so take what comes week on week.

Work in progress. 27 at present and scored 42 points (gross 91)on Saturday in a bounce game, need to do it in a comp now.

Currently off 9 but my play over the last 4 or 5 months would mean that if I told you I was 9 handicap standard then I'd be a blatant liar.

I'm more like an 18 or 20 at the moment and not enjoying golf.

My handicap reflects the fact that there is always something not-quite-right with my game. Sometimes I can't putt, sometimes I can't drive, sometimes I can't hit mid-irons etc, etc. Fortunately, I generally hit at least one shot per round that comes out of the sweet spot and lands where I intended. That's enough to keep me coming back.

I'm off 22. I'm embarassed saying it as I know good golfers look down on anyone above 18. 18 makes you respectable, below 15 makes you a good golfer. Single figures makes you a very good golfer.

I'm not a hacker, which I suspect many good golfers think you are when you are over 20, just inconsistent and not able to spend hours practising and improving. I suppose to answer the question I would say inconsistent, but also mutters frustrated.

This is totally not true especially if they also started off on 28 themselves.

I think single figure golfers appreciate the work higher handicappers put in to reduce
their handicap.

My handicap says that on my day, I can play a bit.

It doesn't really mean anything, but it gives me the confidence to not be embarrassed about hitting truly awful shots like I would have been when I started playing.

Compared to the average it says I'm above average although at the moment I'd be in detention on a regular basis and it's simply not good enough. There's a good golfer in there, it just doesn't like to come out very often

Mine is 11, and is reflective of the inconsistency that comes with little practice and an average of less than one game a week.

Tough to say but 20 seems to about right but says I need to become more consistent, which comes from playing week in, week out. I know I've got the game to be much lower and at the moment be the occasional bandit
