Have Galvin Green long johns
UA and Adidas Baselayer
Galvin Green Fleece Top

And a Snood :D

I will put thicker material trousers on, then its shirt, jumper and coat and start playing. Coat normally goes into my bag after getting going and then i can normally survive, have got winter mitts but putting them on and off all the time does my head in and they go in the bag and stay there! thicker socks help but once i get going im normally fine.

I wear a base layer all year round. Have ones for hot and cold weather. There the best thing as u hardly feel it's there but does the job. One of them a polo and a jacket or jump and usually it's fine this time of year. If it's a bit colder I wear both the jumper and jacket.

During winter golf I often struggle with a scratchy throat, do you find that it gives you that bit of protection?

Yes definalty - the second one is a touch more thermal and thicker

I use the type that you get in Mountain Warehouse/Tog 24 etc. Thicker than the other ones shown above but lovely on a cold day and protects the neck and throat beautifully. I get paranoid about getting a chill on my neck, bad experiences of tonsillitis and throat infections in the past, and this type has served me well for a number of years

I shall be investing in one then! Any other worthy brands worth considering?

I find wearing a fleece tube round my neck really helps keep me warm. I just bought a couple from the camping shop, one has a draw string which is good to loosen if you get hot.

For first time ever I have proper winter gear. A half-zip golf top, a lightweight hydrolite shower jacket, and a pair of fleece-lined shower-proof trousers. Sorted. No excuses.

I'll Definately be investing in another Snood. I've managed to lose the two that I bought last year.
A hassle free scarf, What a discovery!
