what did you shoot today?

Played yesterday and today. Winter sweep, three quarters handicap. 29 points yesterday and 32 points today, so reasonably pleased.

Just pleased weather was good enough to play both days.

Monthly stableford Ended up with 34 points, Was going well with 33 points into 17, a straight 386 yard hole I regularly par. Hit a 282 drive to end on the 100y marker. Easy sand wedge but a slight downhill lie and ended hitting it thin 40 yards past the pin into heavy rough. Hit a prov but Eventually found my ball (blue markings) in the rough after a couple of minutes. Hit a very nice wedge out of 2ft rough to end around 10ft from pin for three only to walk up to ball and find that it was a similiar ball with near same markings, disapointed to say the least. My mate had picked up prov and was now not sure on what to do in this situation so blobbed hole and after a 1 pointer on the last, walked off disapointed after being 7 over gross after 16 holes!

hmmm not alot, infact myself if i had a gun,

played mill ride in berkshire yesturday, awesome course, great condition although a little wet, great range warm up,.. hacked in with 28 points

thn onto the addington today, ranked 76th best course in the country i was hoping for revenge, great range session again this morning to work out the gremlins, par par start then my swing pack up and called itself a cab, hacked in again with another 28 points.

come to the conclusion that my hc suffers with car sickness as it doesnt travel well.

Played in stableford yesterday. Fairly solid round with 37 points, hit my irons as well as I have all year. A couple of dodgy drives and a few putts shaving the hole stopped me putting in a really good round.

Quite happy overall though, was a blinding day for it aswell :)

Shot 73 in the pea soup fog this morning.

Anyone tried to use a Bushnell in fog?? Got it out on the 1st hole and tried to zap the flag from about 80 yds out, the reading kept saying 5 yds!

The combination of not knowing the yardage and also guessing how much less the ball would fly in the heavy cold air made for an interesting morning.

Played in a 3 club + putter (red tees) yesterday. Took driver, 7i & GW. Was driving well and had less than 100yds approach on every par 4 but just couldn't get a feel for the distances and never put anything close, but finished with 40pts. Struggled to get the pace of the greens all day after playing a muni Friday and 4-putted the 1st from 15'.

Played today in the best quality fourball matchplay I've ever played in! 5 up after 8 but then the 3hc opponent birdied 6 of the next 9 holes. Fortunately I also birdied 17 for a half to win the match 2&1.
After 17 when the match ended I was level gross and the 3hc was 4 under.

Who did you play Mill Ride with? If you fancy a trip down this way again you're more than wlecome to join Bash, Haweye, Sundance or myself for a game at Royal Ascot. 28 points would hve been mid-table in the roll up yesterday!

Hit the range today as the fog delayed start times and I had something already booked this afternoon. The foggier it was the better I hit it and as the mist cleared the swing went backwards. Not great and still not even 60% happy with my swing following the lesson on the 12th. Going back to the pro this week for a serious chat and some more pointers

Not a Bushnell, but I have a Nikon. It didn't give a false reading, just nothing at all. Thankfully the fog lifted enough after 6 or 7 holes to be able to use it again.

Sounds like you are struggling for a bit of form again Gary.:)

Didnt play today because of the fog (and a heavy night lol), played my 2nd round winter knockout yesterday and scraped through on the 17th playing solid but unspectacular (ended up with 15 pars)

played matchplay against my mate yesterday, Shot level par for 12 holes and was 5 down!! level par after 16 and the game was over, beaten 4 and 2!! played well though, hit some good shots, quite happy with the way i played, he was just on fire, lol

Homer, played mill ride with a mate i used to race motocross with, for a 20hc he had teh long game better than some cat1's ive seen, teh course was lovely, couldnt beleive how long some of the holes were.

id be up for a tripe over and a hack with you guys,... cant do next week though as ive got our winter pairs 1/4 final...

Yesterday was poor tbh, off the ladies tees, stroke indexes and pars anyone playing well should really rip it up as it's so short and par 73.

Today was ridiculously opposite and as well as I've played all year.

I iz 'appy innit!

had to golf this weekend due to being on call today and yesterday was busy sorting stuff out with house etc. Played midweek which is a nice rarity and did spend yesterday late afternoon up the practice range as was too late for a round. Cant get out next wknd either as its the mrs graduation saturday and sunday im working.
just going to have to get some driving range sessions in midweek evenings although i prefer the actual practice range to the driving range
