I know I should be able too. Always seem to mess them up. Pushed for golf time at the minute. I know I need to hit the range. But my free timeis pretty much 4 hours here and there and am loathe to stay if the course if I get the chance.
My strength s mainly straight relatively long driving, my game is too erratic to say my handicap travels well, although, it does suit matchplay. Last season I played 10 matches away from my own club, winning 9 and halving the other.
I'm a fairly good putter. Gets me out of jail a lot. I scramble very well because I tend not to hit that many fairways and greens but I never miss them by much. I also consider myself a very good wind player because I generally hit the ball very low.
oh and yeah my handicap travels well because we're a fairly tough par 72 but I grew up playing a really short par 63 so my all round game is ok. I'd probably struggle on a really really long track.
For my handicap, i hit the ball OK. If I putt well, I score well, if I putt poorly then i'm usually around buffer. My handicap travels well on short courses but not so good on longer ones !
Most visitors struggle with my local course as it is long and there are a few challenging holes so generally my handicap travels quite well.
Strengths are mental attitude and determination, weakness is like many a lack consistency partially due to back problems, (tightening of the muscles), which sometimes creeps in towards the back of the back nine.
There is still a lot of room for improvement particularly my driving but I am happy with the progress I've made with my putting which was my main weakness but has now become one of my strengths
A good short game, especially putting. Dodgy long game but when its in the groove I can go on a crazy good scoring streak. I can have good rounds home and away but I can throw in some real howlers.
I think my handicap travels reasonably well. my home course is quite tricky and you'll come across every kind of lie you can think of, so it probably stands me in good stead when I play away.
Strengths.... I'd say driving and mid irons. I've really got to maintain my short game otherwise it goes downhill fast.
Im looking to get a laser for the coming season and really knuckle down on the wedge distances. Hopefully turn the pars into birdies and the bogies into pars
Handicap travels there or there abouts unless to you involve links then it can take a battering.
Strengths, creativity around greens and normally from the tee.
Weaknesses ' 9-4i but mainly my approach shots from 150 yard and in, although I'm working hard on this,
Got to play off grass at a different course today. It's like night and day.
Strengths are irons, pitching and chipping. Putting was better than most weeks. Good off the tee with the 5 wood, quite a few howlers with the driver in hand.
I tend to hit lots of GIR but never capitalise with putting.
