I'll start,

I'm a reasonable driver and pretty straight off the tee.

Playing links I think makes you a better all round player as conditions are different every time you play.

How about you?

Handicap seems to travel

Strengths - iron play and short game

short game. I can be wild off the tee but decent management and smart wedge play means I don't run up too many cricket scores.

9 pars, 9 bogies is not too hard a task around most courses especially if I can nick a birdie or two along the way.

My strengths are generally in the bar afterwards and I play bad golf everywhere.
I usually find I don't get enough shots to make scores look semi respectable.

Relatively long off the tee which, when straight, is a big help.

Was talking with my playing partner today, I'm probably a 9 handicap in my long-game, but around 3-4 handicap from 100 yards in and around the greens.

Hopefully the course of lessons will improve my greens and fairways in reg and save me a couple of shots a round.

you must have changed a hell of a lot through the later part of the year - I have you the opposite!

put another way, give the average 3 handicapper your tee shots and they will shoot under their handicap, not above.

I am pretty straight off the tee, hit decent fairway woods and hybrids, and am a reasonably good putter. I am less good with my irons and my chipping can be awful if I don't practice it a lot. I am not a particularly long hitter. My game seems to travel OK.

Biggest weakness is maths.

A good spin off of this being that my scores are always good regardless of where I play ;)

Yeah, after the HFH today when I was appalling on the greens I've put quite a bit of work in, but maybe at the expense of my long game. Still hitting the ball well but not finding nearly enough fairways. Only hit 3 fairways through 15 holes today in our winter fourball but still managed to win pretty comfortably and was probably only 4 over in horrid conditions due to some good putting and up and downs.

Hopefully this year will bring it all together in one go!

Not sure I have any strengths, more just that im slightly better than mediocre across the board!

Can hit the ball a reasonable way off the tee (not got big enough cojones for the distance most on here hit right enough!) but can be wild.

Putting improved, short game brutal but my irons are better than everything else by a distance I'd say.

In terms of handicap travelling I do ok in retinal matchplays etc, have too many erratic days though.

Strenght would probably my driving , im kinda ok at all the rest , mental side of the game is good tho , (after a bad patch early last year )
handicap seems to travel well enough , sometime i think i play steadier golf away from home .

As a parklander i guess all my conditions are the same every day just a few trees thrown in :D sorry patrick couldn't help it..:D

Have played and won on a few links tho
