Not me???
In that case I apologise, I must have misinterpreted post #107. Sorry
Not me???
Again, I'm not talking about the courses. I'm talking about the fact you can't play them properly for half the year
Hawkeye I think it was your 'half year' comment that riled the Scottish Battalions. In Scotland from Mid Nov to Mid Feb we have enough daylight for approximately 70 golfers to enjoy 18 holes. During that period the courses are generally very quiet weekdays and busy for only a handful of hours at weekends
Spring come earlier in the north and the west coast is generally mild at that time of the year. Most courses play well from March to November so I think quarter/third of a year would have been more fitting.

Does that mean those of us down south can get riled by the "12 months of sodden parkland golf" comment?

Hells teeth it's Essex v Surrey now.
My money's on Surrey as I do not think there is one links or heathland course in Essex.
I play in Hampshire, and we have a lovely links course at Hayling. Do I win ?Hells teeth it's Essex v Surrey now.

Continuing the OT portion....Fair enough, in that case I apologise again.

I think in this case the 'thrashing' you have received by the Scots is well justified!
