Wet balls do you dry them?

Yeah, but I've heard the extra 5 yards are all upwards - towards heaven.

I make sure my balls are dry when play begins but they generally end up wet, particularly when they're nestling in the thick, tangly stuff. Any ball tinkering at this point would be deemed illegal.

I agree. Unless your balls end up covered in brown stuff, then you can lift, clean and replace
