Balls

I'm really ticked off that Honma don't make the TW-S any more. I really like these balls and I still have a few left but would have stuck with them if I could have. Long, nice to put with and keep pretty straight.
I've got Wilson Triads for next year and having read the reviews I am hopeful, but would love to have stuck with the Honmas. I've just played two medial rounds with one of them.
I thought the Honma balls were exceptional quality for the price. If I'd known they were going to stop selling them in Europe I'd have stocked up.

Honma, the balls came across at the same time they were doing a push on clubs. The clubs didn't take over here and I guess it wasn't viable for them just to sell balls. They might have sold well but the set up required didn't justify it.

A shame, I used them and liked them. I'm on my last pack of 3, actually used 2 this weekend 😊

Golfclubsforcash had a big stock of Honma balls for a while, they didn’t advertise them and you had to phone up to order. I only know this because a forum member works there and messaged me after I’d mentioned I used them. I bought 3 dozen but they’ve all gone now.

This was a couple of years ago so they’ve probably sold out, but it might be worth giving them a call to ask.

We did the same and bought as many as we could. Currently using Callway soft at around £24 a dozen.

Has anyone tried the Bridgestone Mindset ball?

The theory is good, works similar to the traffic light method Ooosthuizen employed when he won the Open.

But as others have mentioned the practical application on works in areas where you personally place the ball.

Why not just mark your balls with a dot on 4 sides so you’ve a greater chance of it at least being visible more often! Bridgestone make really good balls but I think in this regard it’s just a gimmick to be different to the rest.

So players will be good off the tee, good at putting, but useless on the rest of the shots when they either can't see the circles or, worse still, the circles are pointing the wrong way :ROFLMAO:
Have to love the forum extreme wisdom, why would the player suddenly become useless? Wouldn’t it be more reasonable to say that the player has an opportunity to improve their tee shots and putting (which is over 50% shots in a round)?

Anyway, I didn’t design this ball, Jason Day did 😂 I asked if anyone actually used it. 🙃

Obviously missed the laughing emoji which was meant to highlight I was joking 🫣
