Very long course (and room to lengthen to 8000 yards on all accounts!) hard to see short game as the main requirement. Long and straight driving of the ball and decent iron play surely going to be a premium, especially with greens which on average are a bit bigger than most on tour

Betting market is very very skewed to long hitting and good ball strikers

yeah, I was surprised to hear him say that. US Open normally favours the straight and long.

Can't see past Speith or DJ tbh. There is always a story though. Andy Sullivan did well at Chambers Bay which was firm and fast. I also fancy a South African to step up at some point. Someone like Branden Grace, fairly long with a low ball flight.

the links style course and likelihood for wind definitely suit Grace but at 50/1 its certainly in the price for me

Grace never fails to let me down. I'm not betting on him this year, so everyone get on him quick while he lets me down and wins the thing.

JB Holmes has popped up in majors recently and is 125/1. Got the game for it, very underrated in majors. Sneaky each way bet has been placed.
