We have threads for series but thought I would start one for the odd show that people see and recommend. Have just seen Jason Fox artic challenge on channel 4. Him at 3 ex forces do a 550km race in artic Sweden. Lot of heartbreaking talk of bad mental health issues in and out of their careers. A from me

@anotherdouble I'm not sure what this does that the other thread doesn't, it is there to cover all tv? We try to avoid duplication where we can but happy to leave if there is justification. What's the added aspect?

I can just change the title of the other thread, remove 'series' from it

I'll merge the two. Otherwise it just dilutes threads. I'll also alter the title of the main thread, I see your point about that

I would prefer two threads. One for series and one for single standalone programs. I think one thread will get very cluttered.

I think in this era of streaming, where films may not go to a cinema or may only go there for 1 week, that could again be confusing and dilute the threads. The weaker thread will inevitably disappear off.

I believe you are right. The current 'films' thread is hardly used and is arguably redundant.

But I would repeat my plea that posters reference the channel (and more usefully the program name in follow up posts - after the first posy it is difficult to know what posters are lauding or criticising.
