TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Out tonight, out tomorrow, hopefully see it Friday. I don't normally have a social life, freak week 😄.

I find with a lot of dramas now, the set up is great but they don't know how to tie everything up. It leaves a flat feeling, very meh.

I'll post back after I've seen it, we'll see if we agree
Watched it tonight, not disappointing at all, a very good last episode.

Vanishing Act on ITV X. Dramatisation of a true story about Melissa Caddick who was a fraudster in Australia who vanished after she was caught. Not on the scale of the brilliant Madoff documentary on Netflix that I thoroughly recommend but a good watch nonetheles.
Watched the follow up documentary about her tonight, The Missing Milionairess also on ITVX - fascinating, as it happened at the height of the Pandemic in Australia it didn’t get the worldwide press it might have done. Well worth a watch if you like true crime.

I‘m in a bit of a vintage catch up, for the first time this week I’ve managed to get pass S1E1 of Peaky Blinders and now I’ve discovered the joys of When The Boat Comes In. I’m well sorted until the rain stops hopefully!

Mark Cavendish - Never Enough on Netflix, compelling documentary giving an insight into the world of a driven elite sportsman. Very much like the obsessed Michael Jordan in the Last Dance and Mahomes in Quarterback. Heartily recommend it if you like this sort of thing.

S1 of Jack Ryan polished off last night, we really enjoyed it but even the missus said it was very cheesy in parts. There were also some huge plot holes, how did the terrorists just saunter into the USA despite being the most wanted men in the world and their photos plastered on every news channel? 🤣

Finished S1 of Lincoln Lawyer last night. It was mostly enjoyable, albeit fairly predictable. It did leave a couple of annoying unresolved issues that felt fairly key to the finale, which was weird.
Started S2 tonight. Within 10 minutes it was a bit cheesy. By the end I was just irritated by it.

I got as far as finishing S2 E1, and gave up.

Started watching Suits (by started, I mean a few weeks ago, and already at start of Season 2).

Pretty good, although as most episodes are almost stand alone (up to now, and last few episodes have strung together a bit), then there was a lack of suspense from one episode to the next.

I also find that each character have very similar personalities, whether it be a lawyer, client or someone else. Every conversation between 2 people is quirky and sarcastic, with each person in the conversation trying to wind up the other.
