TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Dune: Prophecy

Watched ep 1 last night. It’s the sort of thing I like, but tbh I’m not at all sure about this one - too much exposition leading to confusion - and much dullness. If I’m going to watch more I’ll have to watch the 1st episode again and I don’t know if I can be bothered.

We are about 5 episodes in and dull pretty much sums it up. Wife likes it though so we will see it through.
 
Finished Squid Game 2 - what a disappointment and way to wreck one of the best original series made in recent years. And of course left hanging for a third one as well. Just dozens of people being shot or killed and shown in pools of blood. They tried to create some interesting characters but none of them really worked and the so-called twist at the end was so predictable.
 
Half way through S2 of Tulsa King, it's very cheesy but enjoyable cheese. One annoyance, they seem obsessed with getting stoned in this series, to the point of it it being very boring, I really don't care if someone wants to bake cakes and sell them in the CBD shop :mad:

Watched a few episodes this week. Very good. Hadn’t really watched anything other than golf stuff for a long time but finished the day of the jackal and now on Lockerbie, both brilliant
 
I think there is a new one tonight on Disney that I was going to watch......High Potential. Not expecting much.....but I'm not a fan of real serious shows. Kind of in the model of Unforgettable I would think.

Just seen it. Typical lightweight, churn it out type of stuff. Perfectly okay, not taxing.

It says at the end that it's based on a Belgian/ French show. I thought it was a slicker version of Patience, currently on ch4, which in itself is very similar to Astrid in Paris 🤪. So, if you like one, fill your boots with the others 😄

My kind of show.....brainless, but entertaining. Drank beer and took a long bath instead......(y)

Seems to be the modern way to get people hooked onto a series

Get a lot of naked bodies and sex early on and get the viewers in

Game of Thrones did the same
