Have Apple TV trial membership.... so used it to watch Ted Lasso.

... but the real winner seems to be Slow Horses on Apple TV. Gripping and dark Brit Spooks drama.. I dont thnk anyone does spooks like the Brits
We use the Apple trial once a year or so. Overall I think the channel is pretty poor so I would never pay for it. Slow Horses is an absolute standout, brilliant tv. If you want a bit of light relief, have a go at Trying on there. A more than decent UK comedy / comedy drama.

I agree, Apple TV has some top quality stuff but not enough to to warrant an continuing subscription. I really enjoyed For All Mankind and so will subscribe again when season 5 is here and fully available.

I agree Apple TV has very high quality but not enough depth.
Loved For All Mankind. Lessons in Chemistry is superb. Shrinking has an excellent cast and nicely written (season 2 just started).
Enjoyed Bad Monkey and Disclaimer too. Bad Sisters is a good watch.

Yes, good watching and Eddie Redmayne is really cold as The Jackal.
I am still a big fan of the 1973 film with Edward Fox. Very little dialogue and it has a way of filming that makes you feel like your a spectator of the event (in a good way).
The film was on sky just last week, I think it is the 1st time I watched it through in preparation for the series.

I think what makes Eddie so good at this is that it is unexpected and against character? Like Henry Fonda in Once upon a time in the west , …
The eternal good guy playing the bad guy.

Got torn away from penguin due to the constant talk about rivals.

Almost finished (1 episode left) so will be back to the penguin next week while Lincoln lawyer s3 backs up.

Rivals on Disney. It's trash but it's funny trash. I remember the original Riders show with Michael Praed. This is a supposed follow on. It's set in 1986 so the music is excellent and everyone is bonking everyone else. Nothing really else to add your honour.

I agree with Trying a good watch.
Even better is the BAFTA award winning Bad Sisters.
Series 2 started yesterday

The Day of the Jackal now up to episode 5

The Little Drummer Girl (BBC I player) excellent, finished the series last night.

I agree with comments about Apple not enough stuff to justify another subscription, For all Mankind and Slow Horses brilliant although I Only got to watch some series before my free trial ran out.

It is a bit like having Paramount + I would not subscribe but get it free with Sky, just enough on it to keep me interested in looking occasionally.

Anyone watching The Jackal? Is it worth the hype?
Ummm…. I really want to like this, the book is great, as is the original film….. but…. There’s some really lazy writing, gets in a horse chase in daylight, 1 min later they’re pitch dark… can’t get on with the hunters character, Jackal making way too many mistakes, it’s just starting to wind me up a bit. I still really want to like it though 🤔😁
