PGA play offs finish with the tour championship on thursday

Anyone had a flutter? Or have a fancy for winning?

Hideki Matsuyama 33/1
Brandt Snedeker 40/1
Charl Schwartzel 50/1
Justin Thomas 66/1

All e/w 5 places 1/4 Odds

goodluck all those who have a bet....

There's an interesting breakdown here of what the contenders need to win it (http://www.thestatszone.com/articles/fedexcup-playoffs-2016-the-tour-championship)

Rory needs a real strong and aggressive first round to set a marker down for me.

I'm still liking Adam Scott right now and I like his chances.

Justin Thomas could be worth a cheeky each-way bet here at those odds.

Nice, I'm with you on Adam Scott! Interesting to see his consistency over the previous three playoffs there,

Consistently not getting it done. ;)

I'm with Big D in that I see little value in going for the faves cos they're so short priced. Wonder how the rookies (to the course) will play? Grillo has never had a go but strikes me as the kinda guy who might have the game for it.

O Hair, Castro, Vegas, these guys were showing great form of late and while are unlikley winners could earn a few quid with a place. Personally I've put a few doubles down and am just going to enjoy the golf, Ryder Cup is far more interesting to me so I'm just waiting for that to start!

Personally I can see Spieth winning this quite comfortably. He loves it around East Lake and he sounded very confident in his press conference yesterday. Had a straight win bet on him at 10/1 a few days ago.

Other than that, Si Woo Kim and Kevin Chappell both at 80s is more than fair e/w in a 30 man field.

Of the Ryder Cup USA hopefuls, I can see Berger bettering Thomas but Bubba has sneaky good form around here so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a top 5 finish which may secure him a spot on Davis' team.

Yeah that is what impresses me most looking at his stats and performances in recent tournaments. Similar could be said of Reed and Casey too in fairness.

I always stick a pound on the first round leader in amongst my bets. Took Kevin kisner at 66s he's quite streaky you never know

He will be pulling his hair out after 2 holes. In the group behind Castro and Na and he likes to play quick if I remember right.

Mixed start for you KJT

Speith starts bogey double bogey, but Chappell started well and is 1 back of Hideki as i type

Long way to go however!

EDIT: Spieth already hitting back!

Bobirdie - did you have him e/w as 1st round leader?

Pipped by a shot by Dustin, Chappell and one of my picks Matsuyama

Quite happy with Justin Thomas' performance too. Today's PP could go either way for him playing with his best mate Spieth. hopefully it inspires him

If both play well (even though this is not a team comp), it may give DL3 reason to give JT the final RC place, and pair him with Spieth
