Remember, the Masters isn't organised by the PGA Tour, but Augusta National Golf Club. Perhaps ANGC aren't scared of upsetting the players by applying the conditions properly.
During the last round of the Farmer's insurance open, Tiger's group, being held up by the group in front, took 3 hours to play nine holes. The group in front had lost a complete hole. I don't remember anyone being penalised then.
Not sure why this comment is aimed at me really.
Let me be clear. If there is a warning system in place prior to a penalty being given, then you can't really penalise someone for heeding the warning consistantly.
Personally, I wouldn't have a warning system. I think this almost encourages some players to play slowly, Knowing that they will receive a warning before any action is taken. I'm sure some players use this when they think they can upset the rhythm of the group behind. I would like to see players put on the clock without a warning, then penalised if they are proven to be slow.
Ben crenshawsaid they only spoke to him once on the 16 then on the 17 they told him he was being penalised. Sky sports app
