Now I think we can all agree that won't happen. Can you imagine the members reaction with all that first tee patrionism and singingJust imagine, Augusta National hosting The Ryder Cup.
Drama to the nth!

It's not just mental resilience in the short term, he also had to overcome the last 10 years when on that final putting greenBest Masters tournament I have watched in recent years, although last night left me exhausted.
Whilst it would be easy to argue that Rory still shows alarming mental fragility at times, as evidenced by the horror approaches to 13 and 18 from a combined yardage of around 200, he more than showed his resilience in the way he failed to let those errors destroy him. For all the supposed weakness, I suspect many would have crumbled in the face of those mistakes.
I’m delighted for him.
Me too - espcecially as there seems to have been a world record number of posts from one member. Didn't need all the distractions during a wonderful evening of golf. It amy be the future during the majors

A Master’s Dilemma— Wanting Rory to win, but wanting Justin to not lose.!
Rightly , this will be remembered as McIlroy’s Masters, but also it will be remembered as when another Brit fought to the end, and who in glorious defeat showed himself a true gentleman. Justin Rose was a Class Act.
Lets leave the argument here please. What’s really disappointing is after a great final round in a major the thread was really great , and you in your first post after have felt the need to make a snidey comment
It’s even more disappointing when you have been very vocal about what people say to you affecting your mental health
Maybe it’s worth also having a look in a mirror at times
I like Justins attitude plus he never lost it, Rory won it especially when he knocked it so close on the playoff.JR reaction on the 18th green and also what he said after just sums him up - a true gentleman and sportsman’s to the end
Was gutted for him and I really hope he gives himself another chance to win a major
Thinking back in recent years and it’s prob the best final day I have seen in a while
The battle with Stenson and Mickleson was excellent but I don’t think anything could match the ups and downs of those 18 holes
Their ability is out of this world but the mental strength sets them apart from the rest
Some of those shots
The wedge out of the trees , the eagle putt form Rose on 13 , the 5 iron around the tree , the shot into 16 from Rose , the birdie from Rose on the last and the 8 iron from Rory on 17
I can’t wait to watch it all again and go through the emotions
Lets leave the argument here please.
Ive known Rorys Coach Michael for 20 odd years and worked with his Rorys dad years ago. I cant imagine just how happy Rory and his circle of family and friends will be considering how much of a golf history nut he is too. He is going to be one fella that really understands what this means and I couldnt be happier for him and Harry, absolutely chuffed and hopefuly the naysayers will quit with the negative comments there also as Harry has proved to be a great partner out on the course. He is no Billy Foster technical wise but as a friend and source of reinforcements hes right up there.
There was someone on 5live last night talking about Harry who knows him and pretty stated that he is a superb caddy and works very well with Rory , he does a lot of stuff that we don’t notice
You could see them chatting a lot when it come to shot selections and then just general chit chat
Harry is a member of our club (Clandeboye GC) and is -1.0 so certainly an experienced golfer and as you say, knows the balance and when to step up and when to shup up.It's funny to watch as Rory chatters on and on and Harry barely says a word. Clearly gets the balance right for his man.
Ahhh, another forumer from my hometownCalm yerself Homer. Discussing golf here.
