Well, they confer an unfair competitive advantage in most cases - players can't play against their parent club, but can play against all the other teams in the league. Why?
Because I don't believe it is right. If you don't want the player, sell them. If no-one is willing to pay that much, drop the price. Why should one of your opponents get a player on the cheap, and probably not even pay their wages. Why?
It’s a tricky and it’s something I sort of agree with because of that exact reason you mentionWell, they confer an unfair competitive advantage in most cases - players can't play against their parent club, but can play against all the other teams in the league.

That is a stonking signing and am gutted to see him go. £20 million quid. The Greek gangsta has struck again.
This looks a good signing for Forest.

The Premier Sky League on TV is what it should be called. The Premier league launching its new season on a Friday night
Maybe am to old fashioned but it don’t seem right to me.
Still a bargain he’s a very good player.I’d imagine that (if it happens) it will include a buyback clause or heavy sell-on clause.
If said player scored in every game he wouldn’t score against his home club because he can’t play !Why?

Put it another way .Not sure that happens much in reality, or gets anywhere close to it! But I get the point you're making.![]()

End of season his home team needs you to win and they get CL footy.
Said player gets a red card for professional foul bringing a striker down last man!
His home team including HIM get in the CL.
It’s to get over the financial rules as well hoovering up young players then selling them on.
Some would say that’s good business though![]()
Wouldn’t have thought so.I see what you're saying. Are there any examples of such suspicious shenanigans happening....?
It'll be interesting to see what the fan reaction will be like for this one. For many reasons:
This isn’t good, how long until we see it happening with prem clubs?
