Didn’t know which thread to put this in as it covers 3 and is footie related 😂

Gladdens the heart: My new Reading home shirt turned up this morning and an absolute thing of beauty it is. Possibly my favourite I’ve ever had.

Random irritation: I ordered a Medium, they’ve sent me an XL!

Gladdens the Heart: have been in contact with club shop, said “don’t worry about it keep the XL but we will dispatch a M out today for you”

All in all very happy I’ll get the right size come through in the next couple of days and use the XL to see if I can get it signed and then frame it for posterity 👌

Sometimes I love my club. Other times however 😒😂

Just so we can get ready for the moaning again :ROFLMAO:

About having a major tournament during the season and losing players when games are still going on you mean - it’s something all the clubs are aware off and part of an issue when it comes to hosting events on the continent where it’s tough for them to host mid summer

where is the connection to an international break where all the games stop ?

But the moaning this time is down to FIFA and their club World Cup meaning the AFCON had to be moved

Can Reading afford to be giving shirts away for free? :ROFLMAO:

No one from Liverpool or Man Utd in the squad, wonder when that last happened?
Not sure. But saw an article from 10 months ago saying England did not have a Man Utd player in their squad for the first time since 1976.

So, in answer to your question, unless Tuchel has previously omitted players from both squads in the last 10 months, the last time it happened was a very very long time ago.

I’m sure you can sue them for that,
It’s bad enough being sent 1 Reading shirt, 2 is bordering on neglect.
It must be in the human rights act 😂😂

Are you familiar with Macron's sizing? Medium in Macron is only big enough to fit a teenage child.

Could be worse could support Utd 😂

Think you might be onto something just tried it on for 💩’s and giggles. Not a bad fit across the the chest. Sleeves little long, but the length of it is like a dress on my massive 5’6” height 😂

If that was Utd they send the M out and charge you for both.

They must have the world’s biggest revolving door

Ill have him sold for profit within 18 months
Chelsea seem to have a very interesting business model.

Traditionally, you'd think a club signs a player with the plan to improve their first 11, or at least develop them into an important player for them in the future.

Chelsea may make the odd big signing player to walk straight into their side. But they also seem to want to hoover up as much young talent as possible, and then look to sell them for profit in the near future?

Take Garnacho for example. With all the players Chelsea have, are they looking to buy him because they genuinely think he will be a major player for them in the future. Or, do they think he is a player they can acquire at a knockdown price, and there is no pressure for him to become a major player for them, because they reckon they can still get rid of him for profit in a year or two? Garnacho's salary at Utd is not mega high yet either, so less pressure to pay him mega money.

If I was a young player with huge potential, I'd be interested in Chelsea as they'll probably pay me well. But if I wanted to develop into a fine player, I'd be concerned about going there, and just having my talent watered down because I'm just another pawn in a big squad, often sitting on the bench. I'd want to feel like the Club absolutely needed me, and that I was going to be given a great chance to be one of their key players in the next year or two. Perhaps Garnacho has had those assurances, because I'm sure he'll kick off if he starts sitting on the bench most games.
