As Isak has had his games 'postponed' for many months, surely he should have been on fire last night, instead of just touching the ball 5 times

Isak needs service, it’s his first start for 4 months , his movement was very good last night but Wirtz was too far away from him and the ball wasn’t getting to him

So why take him off at half time?
Surely Slot or someone should of said to Wirtz to try and get closer and the rest to try and get the ball to him?
Give it 10-15 minutes, if it hasn’t worked then sub him.

Whatever excuses one may make for Isak's performances, it still stands that he was garbage last night. And he has been terrible before he got his long injiry earlier in season.
Slot must have thought he was ready, otherwise why start him? And when Wirtz cost around £100 million, Isak £125 million and Ekitike up to around £80 million, you'd like to think that those three players alone (costing in excess of £300 million) could figure out how to create chances for each other.
Isak was excellent at Newcastle, no doubt about it. But I would truly love to know what has happened to him, as it cannot just be down to not having a pre-season. It just feels his confidence has been shot to pieces, perhaps because the whole transfer saga put additional pressure on his shoulders. Or maybe he feels lost as he is no longer the big fish in a small pond, where the team is specifically geared up around him to score goals.

Slot said that he had 45-50 mins in him and thought was best to start him as opposed to bringing him on second half and then the potential of extra time - more mins in his legs for the rest of the season and he will have to play more with Ekitike out now which is typical as we get Isak back with lose him
We had enough of the ball in the second half and created chances just didn’t take them
They were clinical and the best team over the two legs won

Oh I’m sure it was mocking, I Work with an absurd amount of Liverpool fans and my wife’s family are Reds as well. I saw lots of mocking, worst this morning in our crew room they’re very quiet when it was mentioned.
I have no dog in that fight but I don’t see Slot doing much to improve next season.

Certainly if the future is bright and Slot is still in charge then it’s going to need a big change on this season.
I’m up for banter as much as the next person so happy to accept/receive that.
Strange as it might seem I’m happy with the Liverpool performance last night and thought they played well but more importantly they really gave it a go.

Not sure why we don’t play like that in the Prem
If we can find that same level in the prem games we can recover to make CL next season and bring in players to fill the gaps this summer

The annoying thing with last night is that’s how they should be playing every game.
That has to be the benchmark now for the rest of the season though not a one off.

No matter what anyone says Chelsea are world champions and have a trophy to prove it.!

He’s to isolated on the left and out of the game.
