As we have seen the qualifying doesn’t really seem to make much difference or have any jeopardy

No, but I think it is a stretch to claim they are the best team in Europe when they only make it to halfway during qualifying. They may well win the trophy, as they did last year, but the league, and the runaround Newcastle gave them, shows that they are very beatable.

Any team is beatable

But if PSG play in the same manner against any team in Europe they will beat them

They have the best front three with options off the bench

The best midfield three with options off the bench

The best back line with options off the bench

Just the GK isn’t the best

Yes but they can’t postpone all their league games during qualifying like they did between games against us.

You are stretching that one. They play in a weaker league, does that give them a break or make them under cooked? It is what it is, you have to deal with it. That's why you have a big squad, why you have spent the cash. It's to be able to deal with that.

Trying to pick the best team in Europe or even internationally is not really possible.
You could say that as current holders PSG are the best.
Would they beat every other team every time, definitely not.
Would they be involved in a conversation about the best team in Europe?
I think they would.
One thing is for sure the right team went through

Coming up to this point I would say that Bayern and Arsenal are the stand out teams but the wheel nuts are definitely loosening on the Arsenal wagon right now.

It’s based on opinion.
The same as who is the best midfielder, you may not agree it’s Gerrard but he would be in the conversation.
I’m not saying he is the best either but he would be in the top 1.

I’m not sure there is a standout team this year.
I would say the same as the premier league.
Whoever wins it this year will deserve it but it doesn’t make them a great team.
If you were to discuss the best team this year though I think PSG would be part of the conversation, unfortunately I can’t say the same of Liverpool

You can't really rate PSG as being world beaters based on beating Liverpool. Liverpool have been pretty garbage all season. When Salah came on, he spent more time passing to the PSG players. And let's not talk about Isak, what's the point, nobody saw him play last night.

PSG hammered Chelsea in the end, but it was such a wierd tie. Chelsea were really competitive until a car crash finish to the first leg, and then the second leg felt like a dead game. Chelsea are a bit of a cartoon club at the moment anyway.

I personally think Bayern are the best team in Europe at the moment. I also think any top club that are in a bit of form can easily challenge PSG. Yet some are making them out to be like the Barcelona side that had Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Suarez, etc. , possibly one of the strongest club sides ever.

We certainly needed the first goal, if we had got it,it would have been interesting to see if PSG had folded or just upped their game.
I think Bayern are a good side.
Looking at the teams so far i don’t see anyone dominating for the next five years or so
