He doesn’t often play through the middle, Phil.

The issue is United only have one striker. Hojlund. That’s it. Zirkzee is more of a ten. So if Hojlund is rested or injured, they either play a false nine, or put Zirkzee or Rashford up top.

Rashford is not, never has been and never will be a centre forward. There never has been a long term plan to play him there, and on the occasions he does play through the middle it is out of necessity, and he rarely plays well.

According to these stats he has played as the CF in 150 games

His return playing through the middles seems to be a little better

It looks like he has to go in Jan - and I guess it’s going to be on a cut price deal as well now

Ange is up there as one of the worst managers spurs have had

He doesn't have a plan b

He just sticks to his deluded plan

Always wins trophys in his second season. Yeah in some farmers league . He's utter rubbish
I dunno, I kind of like him. Seriously, not taking the micky as a fan of another London club.
Going to football is an extremely time consuming, very expensive, often quite inconvenient thing to do. Being served up sterile old rubbish in my leisure time is not something that I appreciate. For the first time in years, going to Spurs is something to look forwards to.
If I turn up to White Hart Lane, I know that I'm going to have a thrilling experience. It might not end well, but luckily this is, after all, only football.
It might get the virtual and Telly fans excited to grind out low scoring and painful wins, but they invest nothing compared to the match day fan.

Fair play to him for wanting to play attacking football and constantly going for it - it’s certainly exciting to watch

Reckon Spurs will have him all day over Conte

I'm away in the lake District right now and I went to a pub to watch the spurs v Liverpool game. Initially we were there with 5 spurs fans. In the first half they were still optimistic, 'in Ange we trust'. My son and I were struggling not to giggle, the defending was pub team level.

By the second half we were down to one fan. He admitted he was still grateful that Conte and Mourinho were no longer there and he'd take a day like today in contrast to the drudge of the previous two.

As a neutral, it was a blast but you really have to shake your head at the tactics and style of play today. Just very, very naïve.

The problem is united fans expect more than players will achieve

For a club of their current level his numbers are good 👍

Have his “numbers” improved them? No. So, to drag themselves from mid table mediocrity, United need to get rid and find a player who will outperform Rashford.

Which, frankly, won’t be all that difficult.

Regardless of where he plays, and the majority of the time it is wide left, his race is run.

Ah the deluded Ozzie , never disappoints

Maybe the real answer to the question is yes we are missing players but also I can't set up a defence
He isn’t wrong about the injuries - they have suffered a good number this year and it has affected their back four

At least what ever fee is received it’s pure profit

Going to interesting to see what sort of deal happens in Jan

A loan with an option to buy could be a favourite

I doubt Utd want an option to buy deal. Cut price sale to get him off the books would also allow the buying club to put more into the salary.

I guess it comes down to how much Utd want to get rid. Clear profit makes it easier too.

I think If it was summer then it wouldn’t be too much of an issue

But going to be tough in Jan but also how much they would want for him - think with his situation and wages they are on the back foot

Wolves make a managerial change and the effect is instant. 3-0 win at Leicester. A clear case of good players badly coached.

Remind you of anybody else ?
