Football clubs hate fans like me, I'll pay for my season ticket and that's all they're getting as they've mugged me off enough with the crazy price. But, get a tourist in who'll do £200 in the club shop and £100 on food and drink, and then replace him with a different one next week, they can't get enough of that type of fan.

Let's see how many of them there are when we get relegated or if they'll be begging me to keep coming.
Same at West Ham, they hate the “Legacy” supporters, they are taking away the concessions for the old and the young in every section except the gods, this is fans who might have been going for 50years, as well as the supposed new crop of fans, forced into Tier 5, the highest most inaccessible part of the ground…They prefer to sell every ticket at full price to day trippers, football tourists wearing a half and half scarf, a new hat, an armful of popcorn and a massive drink. We play 💩 and they slope off having enjoyed a masterclass by the visitors. Only to be replaced by someone else the next week. Only money matters to our owners, and they are not the only ones. Amazingly even though they made their wealth through pornograpy they are not the shadiest owners in the league 😆

Dunno….I think it’s a bit silly really.

And if I was an Everton fan and heard rival fans singing it at a game I’d probably shrug my shoulders and think “Meh”. I genuinely wouldn’t be so precious that I’d let it bother me but might join in with singing something back in their direction. Then I’d forget it and just watch the game.

I just genuinely wouldn’t categorise it anywhere near the same level as chanting racist, homophobic or tragedy stuff.
Some of us aren’t that precious mate. We’d be upset you’re singing that tune at us, regardless of whatever words you put to it.😂😂

All Clubs have idiots, the songs will always be sung, it’s 99% fun/banter/oneupmamship between fans!

I don’t know what made me think we could win a match against the team with the worst form in the premier league?

I thought we had the players to beat them even with him playing Soucek and Alvarez in midfield, AWB at LB and Kudus on the LW, and Ings as the lone striker 🤪
Why were Paqueta , Emerson and Summerville dropped , who were in the team that beat Newcastle?

I really do not understand how this guy has ever got a job in football.

Summervilles treatment under lop has angered me more than anything, best player in the championship last season. Hardly gets a chance. First player hooked when someone sent off or at the weekend when he scored a decent (offside) goal and looked dangerous. Keeps on Antonio who last night came on for 30 mins and was blowing out his bum after 10!! How?? You are supposed to be an athlete

Emerson baffled me..he scored a stunner Saturday.. yeah on the bench mate

Playing a high line against Jamie vardy? What kind of plan is that?

One point I keep seeing raised is that who actually wanted j-lo? As in I doubt you will find one fan who looked at all the managers out there and went yep I want j-lo .. I wanted potter. Not sure your choice? But I don't think j-lo was on anyone's radar ..

I felt for him slightly yesterday as we dominated position, shots. Passes in final 3rd..had a perfectly good goal ruled off but just still can't catch a break.. had one cleared off the line aswell. Even when one hit Bowen full in the face.. another game that could have gone in but not for j-lo lol 😆

I've been in the give him time camp, however he doesnt seem to know his best side after all this time, he keeps changing tactics.. and apart from Newcastle second half and yesterday first half the football has been awful. Looking at that squad we have plenty of players available for him to use. Think it's time to thank him and wish him well. Then get in someone who will utilise players correctly. I mean for example he wanted cresswell when he was at wolves.. yet he won't play him?

It’s for us all to deal with. All fans need to report this type of behaviour as that is the only way the idiots will learn that it is not acceptable.

In a lovely, cuddly way I agree with you. And it does happen with sensible supporters ssshhh-ing the idiots.

But we’ve had the kick it out campaign, the flying of flags, arm bands, numerous announcements, both over the tannoys and in programmes etc, etc, etc. What does work is banning orders. Stewards & the police grabbing the idiots, season tickets withdrawn and banning orders issued.

I’ve seen fans kicked out and banning orders announced in the press. Yes, the idiots create ghost accounts and get back in but they behave. Fan against fan rarely has that much impact but fan(idiot) against a uniform, steward or police, works pretty much every time.

@Fade and Die

Always great to read this kind of stuff

'Lopetegui demanded for weeks to get Guido Rodriguez signed. The club in the end agreed on it, despite not being fully convinced in the player and him being super expensive in terms of signing fee and wages.

A few months later and the coach has pretty much fallen out with the player, who already has asked to leave in January.

Both had a go at each other after the Everton match. Rodriguez hasn't played much since.'

Any club who doesn't look after their legacy fans is living dangerously. It only takes a bad or season 2 (like our clubs) or selling a popular overseas player, (there won't be a queue of Koreans out the door if we sell Hwang Hee Chan) to mean stadiums are half empty.

Fans have long memories, you didn't want me when the times were (relatively) good, but you want me back to watch Cardiff and Stoke. Shove it.

Not sure if discussed today but rumours of ,finally, the 3pm blackout for broadcasting games might be lifted

About time

Get everything on a package , a lot of people get it the dodgy way anyways.. the best way to smash piracy is make the real thing affordable and simple

I pay £70 per month for Virgin for everything, if they went the Netflix model of having every game live for a monthly fee, zero chance that's coming in under £100 per month. Probably way higher too.

At least it would become worth the money tho

£70 but can't see all your games

COVID times had the best TV experience

If the 3pm blackout is removed we won't need to move so many games. Lunch time kick offs might not be needed for example
Games will still be moved to suit TV. Saturday 3pm would not appeal to the current way of life. It would not surprise me if 3pm ko times get abolished if the 3pm blackout is removed. Its an awkward time really.

Lunchtime Kick offs will stay. The PL sell that slot around the world.

Would you give your season card up if you could watch every home game from the comfort of your own lounge if it was cheaper than your Season Card?

The blackout is so outdated that even the el classico couldn't be shown when it was on 3pm UK time

What year was that?

With my business head on, except for the really big clubs, it would be suicidal for clubs to vote to get rid of the blackout. Like turkeys voting for Christmas.

I'm not sure Sky would agree with this unless they had total control and that would come at an eye watering cost.

I was chatting to one of the guys in my team who goes to West Ham and he said the club have increased general admission ticket prices to £85-120 depending on game/seating area that seems an awful lot of money. Manchester United have increased prices too.

I sense these clubs are now starting to market football differently and theyre aiming for the occasional fan instead of the regular/season card holders every week.

Not sure Sky would have a choice - because they'd be losing the product and it all going in house.

Well an independent regulator is needed for a lot of things

I think the media package we get in the UK right now is ok , we get to see a lot of clubs and a fair spread of games

Thing is - no we dont.

If you're a fan of a top 6 club you're on TV a lot.

If you're a Forest fan (picked at random) you'll be lucky for 6 times a year on TV.

Why shouldn't fans be able to watch who they want to?
