I'm really struggling to find many positives after that game.
Different line-up and formation every match.
Maybe EtH needs to give his head a wobble!

Positives? Ugarte had a solid game, as did Onana.

For me, of the three results in Europe that’s the best. A point at home against Twente and surrendering a two goal lead in Porto were shockers. Had we won those two, we’d have been perfectly happy with a point tonight.

So, The New Saints manage to do what Man Utd fail to do - and win in Europe this season - mind you, it has taken them 88 attempts in total to get a victory

Yeah, I'm pretty neutral on it. Never assumed it was going to be an easy game over there, and Utd were generally still pretty solid. Creating a lot of chances is still a problem. Would love to see us somehow create more chances for Hojlund when he is on the pitch, as I think he could be a very clinical finisher. He's had 2 shots in the Premier League this season, albeit he has been out injured for a lot of it.

Really disappointed in Lindelof for the goal. Any average centre back would simply attack that cross, regardless of who is behind him, and just head the ball away. It looked like he just decided to let it go. I say disappointed, but to be honest I expect it of him, very light weight centre back in my opinion. Still undecided on Zirkzee, especially as I've never seen him play before Utd. At times, he looks like he has just won a competition to play for Man Utd, then at other times he does some really good things. Possibly lacks a lot of confidence, out of his comfort zone. Although, I'll be honest, I was sort of hoping that when Utd bought a striker, they'd be a really dangerous goal threat. Not really seen that since he scored his debut goal.

United have taken the lead in their last 6 European fixtures and failed to win any of them.

First class that :ROFLMAO:

A stat they were throwing about this morning was “haven’t won a game in Europe in 12 months” which I thought didn’t paint a fair picture as for most of those months they weren’t in Europe

But ETH saying they have had a good start 🤷‍♂️ 3 points from 3 games and 21st in that table is not a good start - at least they are beating the other Ineos team

Not sure what he is smoking sometimes when he speaks to the media

Watched bits of the game - a draw seemed about the right result

Again when watching United you don’t really feel like there is someone there that is the stand out and going to produce something special

How strange, a manager trying to put a positive spin on things to the media. You'd think the art of management was to see the negative side of everything, and slate his team's performances every time the media ask him questions.

Perhaps he is a little more balanced in his assessments when talking to the players at the training ground? I suspect every manager has a very different insight behind closed doors compared to what we hear in their media interviews.

Although, that being said, it seems like you (and media) are just cherry picking single statements he makes to create the context that he speaks rubbish? You've ignored the bulk of his answers, which states that he is frustrated and disappointed. That we picked up points in games, including two tough away fixtures, but we have to win.

Balon D’Or is due to be announced this weekend and it’s expected that Vinicius Jr will win which would be a good choice but how did some get nominated

Saka ? Odegaard ? Palmer ? Williams ?

Saka, Odegaard, Palmer? Were they not amongst the top performers last season in what many call the best league in the world? There are 30 nominations, so why wouldn't you expect them to be on the list?

To add to this, Xhaka is on the list. I'd never have seen that one coming a few years ago when he was at Arsenal and shouting at his own fans
