Is he tho? Before he got to you his games per season at Chelsea

53
54
53
35

Before that he two seasons on loan

44 and 39 appearances

I'd worry more about what the man united team are doing

You don’t think the 18 games fewer he played during his last season at Chelsea, when he was out injured, should maybe set alarm bells ringing?

From an almost ever present to playing 18 fewer games was clearly an indication that something was amiss.

Tbf tho all players get injured,so maybe missing the 18 games wasn’t seen as being a big deal.
Especially if he passed the medical at Utd.

He had a pelvic injury that he underwent surgery for, considering he pretty good injury record before that it's hardly an alarm bell ringing situation

It's not like you signed zouma knowing his knees are gone and accepted it.

His injury record is pretty average before that season .. majority of players get knocks

Maybe so. But he’s barely kicked a ball since, and seems incapable of remaining fit for more than two or three games.

He clearly signed off the back off a niggling injury - pelvic I think - and has struggled for fitness ever since. Something just seems amiss.

Crazy how many injuries certain players get.
How is it even possible to be injured as much as Reese James?
And yet other teams would still buy them 🤯

This kind of situation was discussed a lot on a west ham forum regarding zouma , a medical really is a risk assessment. Issues come up and then fees are either negotiable or contracts ammended

Zouma "failed" his in Saudi league medical (we had agreed a free transfer if he could get a deal on the same wages) issue comes up that club doesn't want to do the deal anymore. (He is in talks with another club now, lower wages, we agree to pay some )

Take said benrhama .. something came up in his medical when he signed for us. We wanted to have another look but was deadline day so a loan deal was agreed with it being made permanent once the issue was proven to be nothing.

Well Chelsea are still trying to bring in a striker

Osimhen looks like he is having a career break from top flight football by going to Saudi but adding a release clause

Chelsea can still get him if they match his £25mil a year wages after tax

Will you be checking the internet through your fingers? See which daft buys on silly wages come into OT? :ROFLMAO: . Will you move Sancho on? Both you and Chelsea need to move some players on. Easier said than done when the wages are silly.

Can’t see United moving anyone on now with the possible exception of Sancho. I think any major business has been done, albeit the deals for McTominay and Ugarte are yet to be announced.

No top flight European club was ever going to pay the release clause to get him away from Napoli - wasn’t it something daft like £110m? He’s not worth anywhere near that money. Saudi was the only realistic option.

The interesting thing is that the Saudi club have also got Toney who potentially was the back up to Osimhen

I do wonder if United’s relatively smooth transfer window and Newcastle’s problematic one are perhaps testament to the work that Dan Ashworth does.

Toney going to Saudi finishes any international aspirations he had , he could have played this last season with Brentford and then go for free to any club

But I wonder how many clubs avoided him because of his cost - age and the obvious betting issues
